thank god, that part of the prime directive was fucking dumb. better to contaminate a culture slightly (like a small village) than let a planet get wiped out by it.
Guess we know what Abrams and Company think of letting species die to satisfy the Prime Directive.

Well, I guess we know when the movie begins. Stardate 2259.55 is just a little over a year after the Nero crisis so the Enterprise crew is still getting used to one another. Who knows when the bulk and remainder of the film takes place but it's probably around the same time.

Ended up watching the first 3 minutes. Quality was poor. I want to see it on the big screen. Still liked what I saw.
