I fear for Maggie and Glenn.

It looked like some of it got in her mouth.

Excellent guess, unless it's in the comics or something. For half the episode, I thought it was someone from the Governor's town.

Daryl does make a good right hand man for Rick. In Season 1 and 2 Shane was a solid right hand man. Rick and Shane being ex cop buddies worked well together. Too bad he became a psycho at the end. Daryl makes a good replacement for Shane.

There we go. I was sure Carol was alive. I loved the scene where Daryl is afraid to open the door, thinking for sure that a zombified Carol is in there. Then he finds her alive.

Also loved Micchone showing up with the baby supplies at the end. But I don't think next week will be a good one for Maggie and Glenn.

Is Rick delusional or isn't he?

    I mean

    1. He had to go looking for the phone when it rang, he clearly didn't notice it before hand.

    2. Why would his mind make a phone ring? Wouldn't (in his mind) he think that phones and such no longer work? Wouldn't he just have a vision of Laurie instead?

    3. Why would he imagine a woman’s voice he doesn't know and on a clear phone line have a conversation with her and then tell him they will call back in 2 hours, then a call back in 2 hours with a man’s voice he doesn't know on a clear phone line and then have Laurie talk to him on a weird sounding crackly phone line?

What if the people calling Rick are in fact prison staff and they are calling different areas of the prison to see if anyone will answer the phone because they hear shooting and such going on?
A Doctor/ nurse, a guard, a warden or other staff?
What if they had a camera or the phone line was open and they saw/heard Rick and Herschel talking to know his name?
What if they found Laurie and brought her to a different infirmary?

We don’t know the prison layout and neither do our heroes, maybe Carl found some sort of sub-infirmary and thought it was the real or only one, would a little kid know if in fact he was in the right place?

What if it was one of them watching Carol?

I don’t want Laurie Un-killed either but this is T.V. we are talking about here, anything is possible and the things I've mentioned are feasible.

Same here. After scenes of her killing enemies, and having something as soul-killing as zombie guts spilling on you she still has enough heart to retrieve baby supplies for a child she does not know.

Typical of this series, the heroes have to be abused over and over again to spark new drama. If Glenn is forced to stay in town, I imagine he will be challenged by his own conscience and Maggie to make a break for it, but he cannot bring himself to do anything.

The characters (the the actors who play them) that called were Amy, Jim and Lori. The Talking Dead confirms that. Sarah was actually calling Andrew from Canada for that seen since she had already left the show.

I think Andrea is a horrible character, but I do think the door is open to her using the governor, or trying to learn more before making a decision to leave. However, with Rick's group guaranteed to clash with LaLa Land, she will be forced to show her true colors....or maybe we already see it with her history of jumping on psychos like Shane & the governor.

So they are calling Rick from Heaven? Is that why it's a safe place? Are we watching Lost now?

BTW if that is the case Jim sounded like a black guy.

    No, it's called a delusion.

Also, the full list of deceased Rick "talked to" on the phone is Amy, Jim, Jacqui, and Lori.

Umm yes, thank you for the explanation of a delusion, I don’t think I would have gotten that if you hadn’t explained it for me.
How are we the viewer supposed to know Rick was talking to each of those people, they didn’t give their names that I remember and not all of us watch the Talking Dead (or wherever it was that info came from).

A delusion talking to those folks (to me) would indicate some sort of guilt on Rick’s part, other than possibly Lori I see no reason for Rick to have any sort of Guilt over their deaths.
How come Shane, T-dog, Dale (Carol and Merl, since Rick didn't know they are still alive) and Sophia didn't get to talk to Rick from Heaven?

I don't watch The Talking Dead, either. I do, however, watch The Walking Dead, and Rick's Lori delusion clearly "told" him the name of each person he had "talked" to.

Your joke, if such was what it was supposed to be, about heaven and Lost was unfunny enough that, yes, I felt like reiterating delusion.

That wasn't heaven calling; that was Rick having a breakdown. He made it pretty clear that he felt guilty about the people he couldn't save, the people he'd had to kill, what his son was going through. I thought that was all fairly obvious. He needed to be forgiven, so he invented this conversation in his psychotic break.

    Really? It cracked me up.:p

I'll have to re-watch the Episode because I don't remember each person giving a name.

Again though, why exclude the other people?
Andrea could also be added to the unknown list and the kid from the farm that was driving the RV.
If you are going to have a delusion why exclude those folks?

Couldn't you be talking to real people and think you are having a delusion?
When you are peaking into a crazy/deranged/delusional persons mind via TV/Movie pretty much anything goes.

BTW Jim and Amy are common enough names, how do we know the prison staff don't have those names?

Yes, thank you, We/I get that, just playing what if here, what if the writers are in fact messing with our minds?

At first, I did think the first two phone calls were from Woodbury, which made me believe at first that they were messing with Rick's mind with the Laurie phone call, or that maybe only the Laurie phone call was in head. Because it seem like the phone rang before he noticed it (or maybe I just remembred wrong). But, then when Amy and Jim and were mentioned (I didn't catch Jacquie), I realized it was all delusion.

For those who don't watch The Talking Dead, you should give it a try. It's great fun: Interviews with cast and crew (and other guests), a recap reel of the deaths that week, sneak peek at the following episode, that is different than the regular prevews and some pretty funny insights. I don't watch the show live, I watch it on On Demand, and watch the episode of The Walking Dead, back to back iwth the episode o The Talking Dead.

IMO, the only way Lori is returning is as a walker because Carl was too chicken shit to shoot his mother in the head.

    Other observations:

*Why was that chick on the wall so upset about Lori jumping down and killing the walker? If anything that should illustrate how proficient she is at handling herself in those types of situations?

*Glenn is an idiot for falling into Merle's trap. He should have shot him on site because Merle was a huge risk back in Atlanta and his behavior then should have shown why he could not be trusted.

*I'm glad Carol is coming back. Darryl is going to IMO be a more stable leader than Rick is now.

*Regarding Michone, I'm wondering if it's only that she had zombie guts on her that the walkers were ignoring her or as others have suggested has been infected and how isn't a target for the walkers? [indientally the zombie guts worked in season one as a way to throw them off until it rained]

*I cannot figure out the Governor - are they trying to position him as still bat shit crazy or just disturbed over his daughter's death and that Lori has entered his life has become more sane?

The Governor runs a really, really tight ship. The whole town is frightened of pissing him off. The Governor has dictated, no one goes the wall unnecessarily, so, Andrea jumping over made the other chick paranoid The Governor was flip his lid

Yea, Glenn should have shot Merle immediately, but, that's an awfully tough decision to make, to kill someone you know, in cold blood like that. He reasonably thought with the two of them, he and Maggie had the situation in hand, very bad decision, but, you can't really blae him and call him an idiot for it

I'm sure the Governor is still batshit crazy, nothing has suggested he's become sane all of a sudden. He's lways been portrayed as being able to keep up an in control sane appearance in public.

Well she claimed to be an Olympian level shot with a bow. Which Olympics would that be - the special Olympics? ;)

She missed twice until Andrea jumped down and killed the walker.
