Perhaps she's so familiar with the general area, that it was a logical assumption of where two cleaned up people would be hiding out. They arrived in town by vehicle, so she probably thought they are not hiding anywhere nearby, neighborhoods are zombie no-man's lands, so where else would they live?

I think they would go out of their way to keep the baby clean, even if their own habits fall by the wayside from time to time.

    Amen.

I'm really happy to that Carol is alive.
I'm even happier to see Michone join up with Rick's group.
I can see a rescue of the 2 captives and Andrea. Maybe the Gov will get outted as the evil DB that he is.

you have to balance any small hints with the very obvious fact that he has created paradise out of hell on earth. Michonne didn't exactly give a lot of details about why she was uncomfortable there. And she isn't exactly normal. And Andrea's own group was pretty crazy too. You also need to consider the fact that they are all traumatized and in mourning.

Yes, I was very happy that Carol was alive. I shudder to think, however, of what will happen to Glen & Maggie at the hands of the Governor.

    Can't wait for next week!

Unless Carol is the one to kill him. Maybe a vengeful Merle is close to killing Daryl (false sense of betrayal, etc.), so Carol--with her newfound sharpshooter skills--takes out Merle.

I can imagine Merle still thinking she is the Carol of old and openly mocks her, only to learn how wrong that thought was when the trigger is squeezed.

Great episode other than the supremely lame hallucinations Rick was having over the phone. That was just godawful, lowest point of the season so far.

Everything else though was top notch, love where this is going.

Maggie and Glenn talked about the prison when Michonne was behind the car. You could easily overhear what they were seeing (the camera was focusing on Michonne when they talked).

Now that Glenn and Maggie are in Woodbury, I fear that
Maggie's going to get what Michonne originally *got*

When a man enters a darkened room with a bound female, it's a given that there will be rape.

As we don't know Michionne's history, it's possible that she was familiar with the prison system. She or someone she knew might have been in prison, perhaps the West Georgia Correctional Facility, before the epidemic. What was she mouthing when she saw Merle confront Glenn and Maggie?

If I was the Governor, I would be concerned about Merle. He was demonstrating that he was placing his needs over those of the Governor. I get the feeling that the Governor could and had removed people from positions of power in the past.

I am frustrated by the pace of the revelation about the evilness of the Governor. So far, to me, he seemed as a man who assumed a leadership role early in the crisis, was able to build a community, and was able to keep himself on the thin line between sanity and insanity. So, what did he do in the comics that made him such an evil person?

I liked that Rick's group has accepted the two remaining prisoners, and had come to trust them. Axel was working on the generators, and Oscar was working with Darryl to clean the lower levels. I am liking Darryl's character more, and I am hoping that he won't be offed before the season ends next year.

I am not fazed by the phone calls. Rick was working through his emotions and his fears with the phone calls. I like that Herschel kept his doubts to himself, and gave Rick the space he needed.

Am I understanding geography? The prison was located in the Red Zone - a zone where a high concentration of walkers was located - and that this zone acted as a buffer between the prison and the town. How far out from the town was the Red Zone? And, how big was the Red Zone?

As the survivors are heading westward, away from Atlanta, will they ever head into another state, or will they stay in Georgia?

Your last sentance brings up a good question, where would you go that's safe? North, West, East South? West would take them into Alabama, but there isn't anything useful there. /shrug

I kinda like the idea of moving East, along the coast, or find a small secluded island somewhere :p

    /edit

Expanding on that idea, I thought of where I'd probably go in the event of a zombie Apocalypse, I'd head toward coastal regions that are mainly cut off from the mainland. There are plenty along the east coast here as you move up. There are coastal regions that are only accessible for example by one road or bridge, so all you'd have to do is barricade that road on both ends, and you have yourself a community that is protected. Or, there are areas that are separated by ferry only, so get on one, head over to it, and you are surrounded by water on all sides, and can make a community. Areas like that would give good space, and protection, to build up a community.

Yea, I'd move east up the coast. While it's not explicitly stated in TWD it is in World War Z that zombies have difficulty with the snow and cold. So, Alberta might be a good place to head towards.

I think she said enough, on top of things/behavor happening in front of Andrea's face.

Part of that is survivor's instinct, and she was correct in assuming the fresh blood on the national guard vehicles meant the governor's men murdered the guards--that says much about that town.

Even if she did not discover that, for all we know, her immediate questioning/suspicion of the governor's town may be due to whatever past experiences she had with survivors. From the season two bar fight involving the strangers vs. Rick, Hershel and Glenn, we know there are roaming, predatory types in that world, so it is not a stretch to think Michonne has run into that before.

If you start with the group from early in seaon one, remove Merle, Shane and Carol's husband, and the group was pretty average in behavior.

I suspect Michone wasn't exactly warm and cozy even before the virus. And you have to remember even Andrea was saying she didn't trust her after 8 months.

By the end of season 2, when Andrea was separated from the group, none of them were really acting normal. Hershel had a barn full of walkers, Lori was channeling Lady MacBeth, and Andrea was locking suicidal people in the bathroom so they could kill themselves.

Frankly, I suspect Carol will be the wedge between Merle & Daryl. Carol is now someone Daryl is clearly emotionally invested in, & Merle is now someone Daryl is disconnected from, perhaps for the 1st time in his life. When they reunite I can't imagine Merle will be considerate of that, or any of the group for that matter, given how he's shown to be treating Glenn in the teasers, & most importantly, Daryl has found something with Carol & this group, something he never had with Merle... Honor

What gets me is that Merle is kind of stupid. Had he been smarter, he'd have just waited, Glenn would have told Daryl & Daryl would have showed up, & very likely convinced some of the group to move to Woodbury, for lack of any reason to suspect danger there. Rick's so desperate for safe haven right now, even he'd agree to move there

It's also likely that Daryl will find out about Merle from Michonne. She's going to be telling the story about Glenn & Maggie, & all about Woodbury & maybe even Andrea.

The clash is eminent, & looking grim

There's always one option... being cautious. She's done nothing at all since being dragged to this place, except eat, drink, be merry & now screw. She's living in Lala Land & she's due for a rude awakening. My only wonder is whether she's so blinded right now that she'll betray or abandon the old group

Ok episode not liking the Woodbury stuff and im glad that Lori's death and mad Rick is out of the way.

A question about Merle and his gang hunting Michonne was that explained why they where after killing here?

Not that I noticed, but it's fairly implicit The Governor wanted her sword and her head for his collection. A more rational reason may be that he doesn't want anyone telling the outside world about his little fiefdom. Plus I'm sure his designs on Andrea have a baring on things.

So one thing that struck me as a little odd in this episode... Didn't the guts that spilled onto Michonne and the blood spurting when Daryl pulled out Carol's knife seem a little... fresh? Shouldn't a zombie's insides be rotten as well and the blood not really flowing? Remember Rick and Daryl's disgusting zombie autopsy in the season 2 premiere...?

I got a kick out of the phone, having just read Compendium 2 of the comics late last week, where I dubbed it Rick's "play phone."

I'd imagine the nature of the decomposing gore is relevant to time of death. A bloodier geek might have been deceased more recently?
