Agreed. Your mother looks so beautiful in that dress, KM. I would have loved to have had a wedding dress like that. I got married almost 17 years ago and like you, auntiehill, I had trouble finding a dress I liked even then. I also ended up with off-the-shoulder cap sleeves, but that turned out to be a good thing as 1995 was one of the hottest, driest summers in England on record. My husband nearly passed out in his rented wool suit!

Sculpture I bought at the wine and art festival. They had some really cool metal figures, some popular (Optimus Prime, TARDIS, Dalek, Wall-E, etc.) but I got this one because it reminds me of my husband so much. And makes me smile.

Oh, thanks. Yeah that's our dining room off the main area. The picture was a birthday present from my husband last summer, waiting for me when I moved out here to join him. Here are some pics to see it better. I swear we don't always have several bottles of tequila out!

I was down in North Carolina for the retirement party for my father. He served 27 years in the United States Army and was officially retired on Saturday.
