First Series Seven Teaser Trailer From Convention!

Why? She's as linked to the Doctor as she is to Rory and Amy, but I do agree, it might detract somewhat from the new companion, though if she has a strong enough screen presense she should be able to compete with Alex the same was KAren did.

I think her episodes (or at least the first two) should be focusing on her character and how she and Eleven are going to interact and such. Building up their relationship and so forth. Bringing River into that would detract from any character building for the new companion.

With a skimpy miniskirt? ;)

Well maybe partly ;)

Nah I just think Karen has a very strong presense (Whatever people say about her acting you don't ever forget she's there like some companions who'll remain nameless...cough Martha cough :))
Agreed, Karen definitely deserves credit for her strength of Presence when onscreen with Alex. I just couldn't resist the set up :D

For me, it's just the case that her story has been told. Agree that the new companion could hold her own if she's well cast. But, we've explored the life of River. That's not to say that there aren't great stories with River ahead, just that the focus should shift.

In fact, it's almost a requirement that she's in at least 2 more stories. Amy and Rory's final story and the Fall of the Eleventh, assuming they're not one and the same. And, I'm not sure if the true 50th Anniversary story (November of 2013, not this Spring!) will be the Fall of the Eleventh, but if it's not, she should be in that as well.

But, we'll have to see! I'm actually fine either way but I got the sense that her story was winding down with the questions answered.

I wouldn't mind the ocassional guest appearance. It would be nice if the Doctor had someone he could go to for personal talk.

I just want the show to spend some time actually making her a likeable character before wrapping up her story.
