Has there been any development news about Dragonriders of Pern?

I didn't even know they were developing Pern until I stumbled across this.

Anyone know anything more recent?

I haven't seen any news but that's the kind of show Netflix should develop instead of broadcast rejects.

I googled around, but there's been nothing about it since the initial press release. Screenwriter David Hayter doesn't have it listed on his website.

That's a shame. It really deserves to be up on the big screen.

The only thing is that even now that much CG would be prohibitively expensive. Full-feature animation would be great though!
