Jonathan Frakes: "TATV an unpleasent memory"

I just assumed that sometime between 2155 and 2161 Earth's Starfleet just changed uniforms to add nametags. This isn't really a continuity issue so far as I'm concerned. As awful as the episode is the last thing on my mind are nametags. Besides, that's six years between "Terra Prime" and "TATV." Look at the later series and movies set after the founding of the Federation. Seems like every few years or so the entire uniform design would change for no good reason. :p

IMHO "Terra Prime" should of been Enterprise's final episode. I only noticed the nametags when I had a friend of mine watch it with me to show him how bad the episode was. I was like, hmm, I never noticed that before :)

Yeah, but when presented with the opportunity to pile on, what the hell....

Trust me. I know the feeling. With this turd it's hard not to.

Wait a sec.. You invite people over to watch TATV just to show them how bad it is??
:cardie::eek::wtf:

When I don't enjoy something, I don't bother with it anymore.
I guess that's why TATV doesn't bother me so much. But then I don't put it on every time I have people over to show them how bad it is.

No, I didn't invite anyone to show how bad TATV was. We were browsing Netflix at his apartment and I noticed they had Enterprise on there, we watched a few episodes and I told him about this one and that's how we watched it. Otherwise I wouldn't of bothered :)

I hate Babylon 5. I wouldn't make a friend of mine watch it. Friends don't subject friends to Babylon 5.

I showed "TATV" to two other friends in the immediate aftermath of its release on DVD, *just* to gauge their reactions to it. But I've never made a habit of subjecting other people to that thing. I can be sadistic, but I have my limits.

For the record? One couldn't stand it. The other was largely indifferent but complained about NEXT GEN characters being used in another show's finale and couldn't understand why they got to hog the whole damn thing.

If it's a chance to say that the holodeck recreation was somehow faulty on the part of the 24th century characters, I'll take it and run with it. :techman:

That's probably the best thing you've written in this thread thus far. :techman:

While I don't *hate* Babylon 5, I certainly don't love it like many other people do. I'm mostly indifferent toward it (but there are some outstanding episodes in there). I would only show it to someone else if they asked me to.

Frakes was one of the only tolerable or even good things about "TATV." He gave a fairly solid performance as Will Riker even though he was obviously a decade older than he was when "The Pegasus(TNG)" was shot. He had a few really good lines.

Mystery Science Theatre Three Thousaaaaaaaannd...

Not a bad idea. But I don't think my autonomic nervous system could take another exposure to that thing in the near future. :)

I'll leave the MST3K-ing of the episode to people with stronger constitutions and gag reflexes.
