    Sorry ;)

An Officer, it wasn't obligatory to dress medieval costumes because we continued our evening in a pub :D

Then we have more than a few things in common, Tom, thank you :)
BTW, I just used an Amazon gift certificate to purchase the Julia Child 2-volume set Mastering The Art of French Cooking

I would agree that we have more then a few things in common. While I love Julia Child, I even saw the movie Julie & Julia. I never really liked her cookbooks. Plus I'm more of an Alton Brown person. I just got his two volume set "Good Eats: The Early Years & Good Eats: The Middle Years."

I make my Shepards Pie a little different then most people, I use an actual pie crust as the base of it. I also use ground turkey & chicken, not groud beef.

I used premade frozen pie crusts. The pie crust gives the Shepard Pie real structure and an almost pot pie taste with the flaky crust. It's best to let it cool before cutting, allows you to get the slices out easier.

On allrecipes.com, my preferred version of this meal is Mom's Shepherd's Pie and I've just added your suggestion to my recipe "notes" so I won't forget. I'm cheffster over there by the way :)

Last night was a celebration dinner with champagne, sauteed olives, seafood risotto and part of a chocolate tart thingy.

Feeling a bit tired and headachey today...

^ Haven't seen you around in a while. And that sounds good.

Barbecue - chicken marinated in herbs and honey, beef burgers with onions, sauerkraut, and the works, chips/fries of course. It was so cold outside, I was hungry again within a couple of hours!

A chinese. Normally I love them but since I had a bit of a bug I just picked at it. My family thought I must have been dying as I am normally a greedy pig.

We're having risotto today, but red wine instead of champagne.

Last night I had salad and chicken. It was awesome.

Potato-encrusted cod, rice and cauliflower (with cheese). Not bad.
