Dating

Who the hell has wet dreams in their adulthood? That would be a huge red flag.

"Hey, honey, guess what the statute of limitations is on a rape charge."

...Man, that's an interesting, if almost entirely hypothetical, question. Can a rape victim be compelled to provide child support?

So I did have a talk with the married girl today and told her that I'd just like to be friends until her divorce hashes out. She seemed fine with it. We'll see how it goes.

I do like the idea of dating her but not until the divorce is finalized.

 Well that's rather paranoid. I think you need to find some new friends.

Nothing paranoid about it, there's a scene in the World According to Garp where his mother explains about how he was conceived via a coma patient - I thought this was ridiculous, and was told "it's not, I know a woman who did something like that. Her husband didn't want another kid, she did, he was using condoms, so when he was asleep .... "

I won't draw you a picture

I've never had a wet dream ever. To this day, I am convinced they are a myth...or a cover story invented by some teenager who is too embarrassed to admit he still pees his bed.

Then again, don't put your dick in crazy.

Nonsense.

yeah, go ahead, and when she phones you at 3am to hysterically tell you "I'm pregnant", don't come crying to me looking for sympathy...

I have known women do that sort of thing, get yourself preggers while not 100% out of previous relationship, so second guy will stand by you and you won't be alone...

I need to find me some new gal pals.

Oh and BTW online dating isn't just full of 'strange' women. I've tried using some sites, and they're just as full of 'weird' men.
Off topic: You misspelled "generation" in your avatar

Uh, well, I have had particularly intense sex dreams from time to time... even while regularly getting some. Not to say it was ever common but it's not completely out of the realm of possibility.

And yes, you can be compelled to pay child support even if you were raped. Support is an obligation owed the child and is completely separate from whatever relationship the parents have.

Your best option to avoid pregnancy and/or STDs is either celibacy, or getting yourself 'fixed'

I can vouch for the latter. Great stuff not using condoms and being worry-free (of course you should be sure to have a trustworthy partner anyway re: STDs).

Cool, hopefully things go well whilst you're taking it easy. For myself trying to date two people at once is impossible - hopefully you can keep that straight!

Ditto, though there were pretty rare. Haven't had one for years.

Point of order, "getting yourself fixed" will do precisely nothing in terms of preventing you from contracting STDs...

I wish it were more common, or I were at all capable of directed dreaming.

Yeah, this would probably be the conventional answer. But that seems deeply, deeply unfair. At least a female rape victim has, you know, options.

If you want to dream about something specific, dwell on it as you are falling asleep. It usually works. :shifty:

Heh, a case I heard about that was pretty fucked up had a husband and wife who had divorced, and I guess one time she told him that their child wasn't his (to hurt him, most likely). So he got a paternity test ordered and sure enough, kid wasn't his. He went to court to get his child support order vacated and the court refused, with the reasoning that the state could not, in the pursuit of justice, leave a child "fatherless." So he's stuck paying child support for a kid that isn't his and there's nothing he can do about it. Wish I had a link handy. I just remember reading about it a few years ago. Just another example of how child support law is a bit daft at times.
