DC to REBOOT???

Of all the Aquaman versions to date, I think my favorite was the Brian Blessed-inspired one in the Brave and Bold cartoon.

Agreed. Though I have a feeling a comic book centered around that version would ruin it. It's one of those things that are perfect as they are.

Though Marvel may be having trouble gaining PR traction, the stuff I've seen post-Comic Con has been more negative of DC and this reboot than positive. Whether the attention, positive or negative, will lead to increased sales will be the real test, though.

Eh...I suspect the people who are positive about it will buy the new stuff. The people on the fence will buy it out of curiosity. And the people who are negative will buy it so they can complain on the internet about how bad it is.

I ordered few of these "new" titles on the weekend:cool:
I chose not to order all of them, because I am planning to pick some of them, like Batman and Birds of Prey, as trades.
Here a list of those I chose: JLA, JLI, Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Batgirl, Supergirl, Teen Titans and Superman

I did my subs now for the first time trough a comic shop, lets see how it goes.
I think I give DC some six issues per title to impress me, then I will drop the titles I do not like. Could be that I return to just read WW and SG only. I am very curious, though:techman:

I still find it a bit annoying and strange, that DC lets one subscripe only to limited selection of their titles on their own website. First the advertise the reboot tons..and then one goes to their website and goes "Oh..no Catwoman?!?".
Who knows, maybe they will change it after September?

I've never really liked those "take up 25% of the page" branding methods, like the Ultimates line used.

I do like how Rags Morales on page 10 of Action Comics writes instructions to the colorist which, although they're probably just there to mind p's and q's, to my cynical mind imply that colorists don't pay attention.

Of course, I wouldn't pay attention either, if I were the third and sometimes second and occasionally most important person in the creation of a comic, and didn't get my name on the cover.

So I wonder how many issues Jim Lee will actually stay on Justice League for... I'm guessing the opening six and that's it.

He's on the book for the long term as far as anyone has been told or knows, for the first year at least. Both Johns and Lee have made a big deal about Justice League being the fist time they've worked together and I seriously doubt Lee would leave after just the opening arc.

Query: Lee actually did manage to do a monthly comic for, like, ten years, didn't he? It wasn't until he got the idea into his head that "managing a business" wouldn't cut into his time that he started dropping deadlines, right?

I'm reminded of this:

Yeah, except that dropping deadlines is nowadays known as "growing roses".:guffaw:

I'm not sure how I'm feeling about that new Batman logo, but Capullo's art is reminding me a lot of TAS. Very cool.

I like those logos. Is Detective Comics going to be Batman: Detective Comics now?

For me the "B" is too small and it throws off the balance.

They've done that many times over the years on the cover but the official name has always been "Detective Comics".
