DC to REBOOT???

So I don't hate the character or anything, it's just,* well, replication is only a convincing superpower when you can create your own personal army of selves, and don't care about any of them dying. An ordinary person who can become three ordinary people just isn't in the same league as a guy who shoots lightning out of his butt, a chick who can trade punches with Superman, and a guy who can collapse you into degenerate matter.
She's Duplicate Girl now and can create unlimited replicas.

Are you unhappy with the DC relaunch? Are you going to Comic-Con? Then Join the DC Original Protest Walk!

Anyway...

That'll get their attention. Back it up with an online petition, then mail crates of bats and lanterns to DC HQ and they're onto a winner.

The only advantage to the splitting-into-three thing would be if the adversary were unaware of the ability and you could take them by surprise - say, send a single negotiator in as a hostage exchange, and then suddenly outnumber the guy with the gun.

[can't be pleased]Well that's just a ripoff of Madrox. [/can't be pleased]

Is she still afraid of evil, sapient refrigerators?

Speaking of the Legion...I'm more interested in those two books than I originally was. Paul Levitz did an interview I think last week where he stated Legion continuity was intact. I guess we'll be getting a big shake up at the end of the current run.

I'm certain more deviant minds could think of another advantage to splitting into three. Of course, Laurie didn't think it very amusing when Jon did it in "Watchman."

I really hope for their sake this goes well. You can tell listening to them that they are all really excited about this, I'd hate to see this end badly for them.

I have a feeling the worst that will happen is things will remain the same. Market share, etc. Which in some ways is bad. But, I doubt there's going to be this huge flood AWAY from DC.

Here's some more Deviant Art on the DCU Relaunch. Like the article states, this Ramon guy is very much influenced by Frank Quietly. I like his takes. I suspect that we'll be getting more and more different takes on the redesigns as the months progress.

He's kind of like a lame, fat-faced, rumpled version of Quitely.
Ouch. I wanted to say Quitely is a fat-faced, rumpled version of Quitely, but it's just not appropriate, as this guy takes the bad qualities up to 11 and the good qualities* aren't present to nearly the same degree.

*But maybe this guy's a great panel-to-panel storyteller too, though? Glass houses, stones.

Awww I'm a fan of Quietly's style, I will agree though that that guy did have a even more rumpled look to his characters. I still liked them.
