PICTURE POST!

*Sorry, are these too big?

Maybe a teeny bit... I think the recommended width is max 750 pxl (in order to avoid page-stretching).

I'll just leave those the way they are and be more careful next time.

A lot of people browse with a 'wide-screen'-monitor for nothing but their browser.
Then your image-size is ok.

Others have the 'wide-screen'-monitor but use the 'wide'-part to have a side-panel in the browser open -or some other application instantly reachable.
Then there's a problem with big images.

Personally I have no problem as I use a multi-monitor set-up where I have the choice of resolution I want to browse in.

A debate-forum (like this one) I usually would have on a (sorta) low-res monitor (tuned to look good when I'm watching text).

This way I can (like right now) watch a film on a 'big' screen. (while still being on the TBBS!).
That makes page-stretching a (tiny!) problem for me.

^I see. So should I resize the cat pictures then, or can I leave them the way they are?

Is it okay to post pictures of food deheh? :3

I keep my browser in an aspect ratio something like that of a document. I find it makes reading text on-screen most efficient. So wide pics do bug me. ;)

A paragraph that's three lines tall but twenty inches across is no fun to read. :p

There's no way kitty pictures can ever be too big.

Better for my dogs to eath them that way.

Implying my cats couldn't beat the living shit out of your puppies without skipping a beat. B|

Most dogs (and their owners) just don't know how dangerous felines are!

Cats hate noise, and do their darndest to get away from dogs whenever possible (the stereotypical cat-in-a-tree situation).
However... any dog that has tried chasing a cat, that didn't find a tree but ended up in a corner instead, knows just how painful cat-claws can be and usually run (whimpering) in the opposite direction when they spot a cat!

I'm still using a non-widescreen CRT at 1024x768 resolution, so I do see a lot of thread stretching. But I do appreciate that widescreen monitors and higher resolutions are the norm these days.

:D

Just rekindling the old dogs rule, cats drool argument. To each his own. I don't like cats too much, but I haven't bathed mine in the 10 years he's been alive. My two large dogs get a bath every weekend and stink by Tuesday. One rolls in poop, the other eats it.

My dogs do team up on the cat though, one flushes him out, the other grabs him by the neck and shakes. There's a scratch or two here and there, but it's great fun.

One of my dogs found a duck's nest recently, immediately jumped in the pond, and killed the duck. Seeing as the eggs had nothing else to do, I let them chow down. I thought retrievers were supposed to catch shot birds, not live ones. Nothing they do surprises me anymore.

^Heh, We used to have two dogs and one cat... Whenever the dogs got too rowdy the cat only needed to extend one paw (with extended claws) and 'lightly pat' the biggest dog for them to know 'play time' was over :rommie:
