All I've got to say about the sequel is that it has to be the most photographed film that Marvel has out there right now. Almost every single day there are new production photos. That says to me that they really don't think much of this sequel in the first place to keep releasing a bungle of photos each week. I've never seen another production as candid and forthright as with photos as Spirit of Vengeance seems to be.

^ Maybe they just think it needs the help, due to poor word-of-mouth and response to the first one. Usually I find it's when a movie gets zero coverage or publicity that you begin to smell stinker.

^ Sometimes no coverage means secrecy. That is getting to be impossible in this day and age now though. TMZ's ongoing coverage of the Spider-Man shoot is a good example. I dunno. I'm just amused by it.

Those are quite harmless pics really. It's just empty set locations really.
I think though they are just following through with getting the name back out there. Ghost Rider has a way to go to have broad name recognition. They are going to have to treat this, for the most part, as a new product placement.

Remember how for weeks following the Thor, Cowboys & Aliens, Green Lantern and Captain America photos we all kept saying in the X-Men: First Class thread "WHERE IS SOME TYPE OF IMAGERY"

We are getting something at least even during this no news type of transition so let's not say it's a desperation act, that sounds like hyperbole.

Dear film buff Jesus,

Please strike down Nicholas Cage so that we won't have to endure yet another shit movie. He has 2 movies in theatres currently and I believe that violates some natural law of acting or some other SAG rule.

Ghost Rider was a horrible, horrible film. Please don't allow the studio to repeat or exaserbate their past mistakes.

Out doing rounds for his newest movie Drive Angry Cage had a soundbite in regards to the Ghost Rider sequel.

So Zarathos is now being incorporated into the movie lore, EXCELLENT!!! I'm eager for the first trailer!!

I rather liked it, except for the weasely little punk playing Blackheart and the magically changing race of the love interest. Oh, and the horribly wooden acting of Eva Mendes (though her magnificent ass does make up for it).

I recently re-watched the first one when Channel 5 showed it. It's still as crap as I thought it was originally.

Nicholas Cage spends the entire film acting like an Elvis impersonator who took a blow to the head and doesn't quite know where he is. Eva Mendes was so wooden I'm surprised she didn't set on fire everytime she was near Ghost Rider. The character of Johnny Blaze was a pussified version of itself. Sam Elliot was completely wasted as Exposition Man. Peter Fonda phoned it in completely. The main villain was a total pussy who delivered no feeling of menace, and the dialogue was absolutely dreadful.

Also, going for a PG-13 rating was a mistake. They should have gone down the Blade road with it, and made it a darker film.

Agreed. I can't believe the first one was enough of a success to make the studio want to do another one.

That makes it sound like they are just drilling down into the particulars of what type demon was bonded to him and other types of specifics.

Doesn't sound like they are tossing out the "deal w/devil for fathers cured cancer part" when he was a teen. Just exploring what Johnny has found out about the demon that's been bonded to him since the beginning that he before now didn't know.

The villain for Ghost Rider 2 is Blackout, played by Johnny Whitworth.

Surprisingly I've seen three projects he's done but he must've had a minor part cause I don't recall him.

For all you budding actors out there looking to break into some film work how's your Romanian?
Seems the producers are looking for someone who can speak Romanian fluently for some voiceover work.

The translation I get is, "Kiss the hand for the meal". Odd, I was expecting it to translate into something more...creepy?
