It's funny you mention your hotel idea, AS. I was talking with a friend not too long ago about a somewhat similar idea. As I think you know, The Hubby and I have become sort of addicted to cruise vacations over the past several years. Well, there was a rumor a few months ago that our favored cruise line was decommissioning one of their smaller ships (we now know she's actually just being transferred to a European sister company).
My Trekkie-Cruisie friend and I were musing that it would be fun to buy the little girl and refit her in an all-Trek theme. We figured, since she only carries about 620 passengers, we might just be able to fill her with fellow Trekkie Cruisers.
When we sailed on her sister ship a few years ago, I actually noticed that space currently known as the "Tahitian Lounge" would make an ideal "Ten Forward" with her panoramic 180 degree forward facing windows, bar along the aft bulkhead and, perhaps not coincidental, location on deck ten forward.
