I can't find it now but there was a video on YT of Star Trek 2009 with the Smallville theme. 
It's scary what we just came up with. Shudders.

We're looking at either Justin Beiber or Miley Cyrus for the theme song right now, but nothing is set in stone.
But we're gonna have The All-American Rejects on the show to do a benefit concert after a wing of the Academy is taken out by a joint Cardassian-Kryptonian terrorist attack and many people are killed.
[edit] Academy Kirk must defeat all the Federations enemies before he becomes captain.

Kirk sees the Enterprise but his dad sends it in to the delta quadrant. Oh and it's covered in ice till Kirk's ready to take command.
Stay tuned for the mid season episode when Jean,Janie and Sisko come from the future because Kirk has strayed from his destiny.
Oh boy I think someone should come up with a pilot script for this!!! We could have fun with this for days on end!!
I actually think Justin would make an excellent Cadet Kirk.
