"Beacon" will have Annette, John S. & John G. I can only imagine what that ep will be like.

I still don't know how Darkseid will play out with this Suicide Squad arc and Lex/Tess/Luthor thing...there is too much going on for a final season.

That might prove the case, but I tend to think that things will be at least partially resolved by the time May comes along, I could be wrong of course this is Smallville. I think they know what they're doing this season for once. It's been pretty good so far.

They said they wanted to throw everything they can into the final season...which means sloppy writing. I am sure it will all come together but it could end up like S7 & S8.

There's always been sloppy writing on the show...I'm afraid quality seems to be a sacrifice when they're trying to focus on quantity. I could name maybe a half dozen really good episodes over the last ten seasons and that is pathetic for a show that has been running for that long, even a genre centric series like "Smallville".

Writing was better when Al & Miles where around...excluding S7. The last 3 seasons so much has been thrown in and I don't think Brian & Kelly are the best show runners. For me the 1st 5 seasons will always outshine the last 5. I just hope it ends well. S10 is better than S8 or S9...with the exceptions of Isis & Harvest...it has been pretty solid.

Even though I am enjoying the ride so far...how the latter eps turn out will determine if this season is a bust or not...just based on what we have seen so far...meh.

Alan Ritchson Talks Aquaman in Smallville: Patriot (There is alot there...so read all of it)

Will you be appearing in any more episodes before the end of the series? Or is this episode a sweet goodbye for Arthur?

Alan Ritchson: I can't say for sure. I haven't received an official offer to come back, or anything. But I have heard the murmurs that the JLA will come together. I believe that he would be a part of that. I would love to come back. I can't say for sure just yet.

It's odd that I thought it was odd that Alan thinks of Aquaman as a separate person.

Alan's comment that he thinks there are a rumor of a final JLA appearance (I think he just used that word to describe the Justice League in general on the show) would contradict what we already know that Michael Shanks will be appearing for the final time on the series as Hawkman in "Patriot" (which struck me as weird considering we've not seen Hawkgirl yet) unless they're trying to play up the resurrection angle of his story that Carter was telling Lois earlier on.

What other villain could they possibly have introduce as significant as the one they mentioned?

The villain is supposed to be someone who idolizes Clark but a "darkness" (there's that word again and it's not even from Kelly this time) within puts him at odds with The Man of Steel? Lex is back? That's about all I can think of. Maxima returning? They've pretty much touched on all of his villains already...Pete returning as Conduit or something like that?

[edit] I think it was Brian who said in "Icarus" Clark is going to be feeling pretty good...they all are and then his world comes crashing down. Oh yeah from that article above.

^ Yeah why are they continuing to introduce elements of conflict for the character when they should be busy starting to resolve things? I agree that they might be over extending themselves.

That's what he said and thought and meant.

Now what I said is that I thought I was weird that he wasn't the usual bipolar actor/fan that couldn't tell the difference between his real life and the characters he plays.

It saves so much time typing to make the character and the actor indistinguishable when now and then I'm unfortunately reminded that Alan can't breath underwater and Welling can't fly.

I still like to know how Blue Beetle & Booster Gold play into all this...I know the final part of the season won't have stand alone eps...so it has to fit into one of the arcs...I think the Suicide Squad stuff will be wrapped up a few eps after the break.

One would hope...I wouldn't be surprised if both arcs continued right into the finale!! It's still fairly early though and they have time to reveal more stuff if they want, they probably won't start shooting the finale until March or April I think. The Booster/Blue script should be done by now...but who knows. I wonder if they're scrambling over there?
