We have lost TrekBBS moderator Mallory.

I haven't been around on TrekBBS for long, but from what i've seen Mallory was one of the most prolific and almost universally liked posters around, also doing an excellent job as a Moderator

My condolences to his family, friends and those who were close to him on TrekBBS

Jeez, what a thing to see when you log in!

I remember when he took over from Richard (or was it Lord Garth's watch?).

He was the best to moderate TOS forum.

He was all class: and that's not just words. Just look in the archives to see how he conducted himself. He had cause to ping me a few times and rightfully so, but The Man new his forum and his posters and he was logical and fair, so he'd allow for a little "slide" now and then. Not to say that if you buggered up, he'd pull you in. But, he was fair.

He was witty, fun and dug TOS and the forum.

Although I don't post all that much nowadays, I'll miss seeing his name around.

See you later Tough Guy.

Bless him and his much loved family.

I didn't know him very much... or at all really. But I know that he was widely respected and liked here and will be missed.

Rest in peace Mallory.

His personal struggle, documented over several years in the BR, was an intimate and immediate source of inspiration.

Exactly. He went through a lot but never complained which was always an inspriation to see. Rest in peace you adorable jack-booted thug! :mallory:

I didn't realize he was ill, and I didn't know him well. All I can say is this is terrible news. My sincerest condolences to his friends and family.

RIP Mallory.

I don't think I ever interacted with Mallory much (or at all), but he was obviously well respected and a cool guy. Rest in peace, man.

:(

This is sad news. I never talked to him much...but he always struck me as a great guy. A year or two ago, while I was still rather new on this board, there was a thread about letting your kids live with you after they turn 18...room/board and stuff like that. Anyway, I remember Mallory's posts in it, talking about what he did with his kids when it came to that, and it struck me as quite fair. Probably not the best thing to remember a guy for, but I don't have much else, and I'm sorry that I won't have the chance in the future.

This clump of rock has lost another good one. Safe journey Mallory. :mallory:

RIP:mallory:

We shall miss him, but never forget him.

Too many good people get taken by that evil disease.

Go DUCKS!!

I didn't know Mallory, but it's obvious from what everyone here is saying, he was a great guy. My condolences to his family.

RIP Mallory :mallory:

Wow, I'm in complete Shock. I wake up and this is one of the first things I see and I can't believe it. I interacted with Mallory quite a bit, but I didn't know he was ill. I do know he always talked about the amount of work he had and he was very close to the family. He was one of the coolest guys I know on this board and it was great interacting with him.

My condolences to his family and friends, and I know he's in a better place right now. :(

RIP Mal. :mallory:

Honestly, that's the way I've always thought about it. He never gave up and never took anything for granted. His spirit and I guess dignity were honestly a major inspiration in my life. I'm glad he decided to share part of his time with us. He was seriously just a cool guy :mallory:

I am so sorry to hear of Mallory's passing. I had no idea the cancer was back. He never once complained, that I noticed. Mallory was always a fair and fun Moderator. He will be missed. :mallory:
