Big Brother USA - 12. Season Commentary Thread

I feel bad for Kristen's boyfriend, I've got to deduct points for his dogging on what's-his-name in the house (becuase he didn't know Kristen was taken) but damn to see that kind of shit? I would put up with it. Hell, I wouldn't of even gone on tonight's show. I'd be "nope, I'm done with her" and then disappear out of her life forever.

If they don't get rid of Rachel soon, I will have to stop watching...she is certifiably nuts. And, IMO, not the kind of nuts that's entertaining, she's just crazy.

Can't stand Rachel at all. Brendon is one of the biggest idiots to play the game. He is a whiny coward and he stupidly believes whatever people tell him. "I KNOW that Matt and Lane aren't in an alliance because they told me they don't like alliances!!"

You would never tell it on the CBS episodes but Ragan is actually playing the best game right now, next to Britney I would say. What I mean is that they aren't playing the game personally, they are thinking really hard about strategy and making the moves that will benefit them. For example Britney would have used that POV even though she seems to hate Kristen's guts. Also, Britney is still faking being in an alliance with Brendon and Rachel well. It's pretty funny actually. She has to have these bubble baths with Rachel every so often that she can't stand but Rachel just insists. Britney is definitely good at being fake.

I can tell you guys that Matt did in fact open Pandora's Box today. Apparently he opened a briefcase that only had one dollar in it but warned that there would be consequences for opening it. I don't think Ragan has been offered the saboteur position yet because he hasn't been to the diary room since all of this happened. He was the one person that I was sure would NOT accept it, but Big Brother might force him into it. Oh, and he is not as much of a stereotype on the feeds as they make him out to be on the show (real shocker, I know). There are actually a lot of sexual discussions in the house in general though, not necessarily started by or even involving him. But of course they don't show those kind of comments from anyone else.

Kathy is useless. I don't really care about Hayden, Lane, or Enzo at this point, because they haven't really had to do anything. They have been drifting along easily so far. I was disappointed that Matt won HOH again (oh yeah, I don't think I mentioned that before) because it was already obvious to Brendon and Rachel that Matt would come after them. So there was no surprise involved. The Brigade once again can remain quiet. Boring!

And yeah, Britney and Lane get along really well. Mostly because they have the same sense of humor, which is really hilarious when they get going. They are awesome at making fun of Brendon and Rachel.

By the way, Rachel said something hilarious the other night. She was talking about the past contestant Natalie from season 9 (the failed Winter season) and said, "She didn't even realize it but she was only cast as the hot chick, she was supposed to be like the slutty one and all she did was follow around this guy she liked saying 'Matty, Matty' in this annoying voice!" Ooooh the irony.

Ragan and Britney are playing well so far, but I'll reserve judgement until I know whether or not either of them has the intelligence and guts to break up the Brigade once they become HoH.

Agreed. One of the high points of the show for me is when Britney and Lane make fun of the evil red head and her lap dog. :guffaw:

I sooooooooooo hope they get rid of Rachel this week..I won't have to constantly keep my finger on the volume button all the time. Rachel is so loud and obnoxious. And somehow calling her a "bitch" doesn't have quite the punch...I've dropped the "C" bomb a few times while watching her, and I don't use that word often at all; it's reserved for people who really deserve it. I liked Brendon at first but he loses lots of points with me every week for letting her just run all over him...plus, I think she's infecting him with her self-centered-ness.

And, Britney's face in the diary room, talking about Rachel busting her making fun of her was EPIC!! I was laughing so hard! The fact that Rachel is so conceited that she didn't get that they were hardcore making fun of her just proves how much she thinks everyone loves her. It's unreal that somebody can be that stupid.

Update: A new message from the saboteur came up on the screen last night, on After Dark no less! They continued to speculate about who it could be for the next two hours. Ragan played it off REALLY well, no one suspects him at all. Everyone thinks it is Rachel, because they are convinced that she was acting weird all day and that the only people who would accept being the saboteur are those backed into a corner knowing that they will be leaving soon anyway (like Brendan and Rachel). Of course Rachel and Brendon believe that it is Matt, because he MUST have lied about getting the dollar in Pandora's Box. Either way nobody has brought up Ragan's name at all.

^^
Did Ragan accept the job? From what I understand he could have refused it, no? I don't know if it's a smart play on his part unless he really wants the 20K and thinks he doesn't have a good shot at the 50K/500K.

I really like Britney, for many different reasons. Obviously she's nice to look at, but she's also funny and smart and something I really respect about her is, that she refuses to do anything that would embarrass her folks back home.

I don't think I've wanted anyone to get voted off as much as I want Brachel to since The Friendship alliance of Season 6.

I have NEVER wanted anyone to get voted out so badly. I hope Britney's good-bye message to Rachel is BRUTAL!!

SPOILERS FROM THE FEEDS!

JUST GIVING PEOPLE A CHANCE!

I've been getting a laugh out of Brenchel's bitching since they got nominated. A selection:

And who's going to watch after we're gone? What's left? Who wants to watch a little gay guy on his period? He's not even a hot gay guy, or a cool gay guy, or a fabulous gay. And that fake showmance with Matt isn't funny, like it was for like one day, but who wants to see that, they're not even good-looking. Now, we have a real romance.

I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

And then they have a bowling contest where it's five against two, that's so stacked against us.

Brendon, speaking of Ragan and Matt: "He gives gays a bad image, and the other one gives midgets a bad reputation."

Many thanks to http://mortystv.com/big_brother.shtml for his/her/their feeds coverage.

In other highlights, Rachel bitches out Kathy because she let out a small cheer when she eliminated Rachel from the POV. Brandon continues to bitch that the competitions are rigged because he's so big, claiming that a competition with swimming would be great for him and telling them how he once ran three miles barefoot on asphalt.

I'm pulling for Rachel to be gone Thursday. If she doesn't, all we're hear for the rest of her time is "Oh they hate me, they took away MY MAN."

Also, if you are looking for a laugh, head over to the CBS.com message board for Big Brother.

People actually liking Brachel? People hating on the Brigade?

Must be the loony bin over there.

This season has been BB's first dud in quite some time.

I'll give props to the Brigade, in that they managed to make "alliance" such a bad word that all of the other houseguests are too terrified to enter into an alliance. But because of the brigade, the final four are pretty much set - which makes for pretty boring television.

I just think the producers should either do something incredibly wild to make things interesting again (and no CBS, saboteur 2.0 doesn't count) or they should just give in to the inevitable, give Matt the 500k, and start planning next summer's edition.

Sunday thoughts:

- Kathy actually seems pretty confident enough to just jump off the paint can.
- The imitations of Rachel were perfect. I love how everyone in this house hates her. Britney actually redeemed herself in my eyes because of hating on Rachel.
- Enzo is a slacker. He never lasts long in any competition and still thinks he’s the Big Brother king.
- Hey Rachel, you need Brendan to compete? How about not alienating the house so that they all rally against you when you’re HOH?
- Brendan is whipped, whipped and whipped. I’ll repeat what I saw in another thread on CBS: Brendan was probably picked on a lot in school and never had a date, let alone a girlfriend. Now that Rachel is throwing herself at him, he’s like a lap dog.
- I don’t understand how these huge guys can have such an issue with the pain. You’re in a game to win half a million dollars, fight through the damn pain.
- Ragan proves once again he’s a smart player: be non-threatening and only do stuff when you need to.
- Why did Matt even tell them?
- Ragan: “I don’t want to let America down.” And I thought you were smart.
- Why must every other segment have Rachel in it?
- Ragan redeems himself for clawing out Rachel’s eyes over the idea of him and Matt are in an alliance.
- Future Guy is back!
- Matt’s a “pansy” for putting you up Rachel? Yeah, it’s weak to put up an alliance in the house.
- Rachel crying made me smile. “Lost puppy!” Aww shut up your botoxed face!

I haven't found this season boring. I also highly doubt the brigade is going to be the final four. One of them, probably Matt, will get greedy.

I'm with ya, Danny99, when Rachel was crying, I was laughing. And, I am almost always sensitive to people when they cry but I couldn't help but to laugh at her crying.

The next thing is kind of spoiler-ish, but it's basically about the After Dark stuff:

Britney, Hayden and Ragan doing the "talk show" was the funniest shit since the start of the season! I was laughing sooooooo hard! I hope they show some of that on the regular episodes because it was hysterical! :guffaw::guffaw:

Rachel "crying" at the end of the previous episode was hilarious, mostly because I couldn't tell if she was joking (I'm going to need to botox my wrinkles out!) or serious. Eitherway she came of as more of an idiot. Man, she may have a hot body and butterface, but she is a huge idiot and annoying.

From what I gather, Rachel&Brandon are unfuckingbelievably stupid, even more so than they already looked like in the regular episodes. Apparently they hatched the "ingenious" plan that Brandon should piss off and insult all other houseguests as much as possible so they get so annoyed with him to vote him out instead of Rachel. Of course the other houseguests totally looked through that distraction immediately, but pretended to believe their act and that they'll vote out Brandon, when in reality they are still voting out Rachel who seems to be extremely confident in staying. That should make a hilarious episode on thursday.

I still can't believe Brandon is willing to just throw himself in front of Rachel and get voted out. They are so fucking deluded that they are the only two good people and everyone else is vile and douchebags. They are more and more like the Friendship.

On the good side of news, Canada's Reality TV channel has begun broadcasting Big Brother After Dark from midnight to 3am. Luckily our free preview of it lasts through September 23, the finale being on the 15th.

The whole thing is really pretty funny. Brendon even said, after he pissed off some people at the POV ceremony, "I just pulled an Andrew," as if that were a good thing! They have also started calling everyone else in the house "love haters" for wanting them out. Gross.

I also think the "alliance" they have with Enzo and Hayden is hilarious. They honestly believe that it's true! In reality Enzo and Hayden are just doing it to ensure that if Brendon wins HOH next week two Brigade members won't be put up together. But man is it funny. Brendon and Rachel keep making plans for after one of them leaves, saying that the other should stick with Enzo and Hayden as long as possible, they might even make final 3!

I agree my girlfriend really hopes Ragan wins.:)

So while tuning into my first After Dark ever, I am shocked to watch Brandon campaign to get voted out. This guy is the ultimate tool.
