Robert Beltran was just added to the Dragon*Con guest list. I didn't know he went on the con circuit. So what juicy and interesting questions should I ask him?
Oh, yes, he does cons. When he doesn't cancel. :P Seriously, I really do want to be excited about him being added to the roster, especially after seeing Kate last year, but he's got such a long history of pulling out of these appearances, I probably won't believe he's actually there until I'm sitting in the audience of one of his panels and he actually walks out on the stage.
This. He's flaky when it comes to cons. It's one of the reasons his appearances don't really bring in crowds.
Ask him why he doesn't keep his dumbass mouth shut... sorry i'm one of the few J/Cers who hate that guy. lol everyone should know that by my stupid youtube comments i leave on his videos. But if i had the money to go to a convention and ask him myself i really would.
Perhaps something less hostile like... Robert, why do you seem to speak so poorly of a show that kept you employed for seven years straight? It seems to me that you would side step saying something negative given the fact that most actors never see that kind of steady income or the relative fame you've gotten for your role in the show.
I have to believe he's been asked that before, considering what a bees' nest he stirred up the first time he made comments. Certainly his answer to that must be on the record somewhere? He must be okay enough with Star Trek to still be doing the con circuit, though. I think he was just upset his character didn't really get the time it should have - though that really shouldn't have excused him from doing his job. The other, less-developed characters did their jobs just fine; he really should have done the same. Somewhere, deep down inside, that guy is a good actor, but it only came through in tiny but surprising glimpses here and there throughout the show's run. But what's done is done, I suppose. I'd be happy to see him at a con. I hope whoever is going has fun!

I wish i had the money to go to cons because i'm not afraid to confront an actor about his behavior, if my comments on his vids haven't done that already.
