Kudos to your wife for a job well done, Seeker! She is amazing. My best wishes to you both as you enjoy each new moment together watching her grow.

Here are Mom and baby less than 24 hours after birth.

I think she looks pretty good for someone who went through 16 of active labour and then a c-section. She's one tough cookie!

Indeed! What a rough day!

That medical tape hurts like hell when it gets pulled off. That will probably bother her more than the labor. :p

I can't wait to see pics of her when her eyes are open. :)

Not if the doc used staples. Any time I had medical tape on a wound, I just allowed it to wear off.

Great picture - and again, she AND the baby are gorgeous!

Oh, I didn't mean on the incision, I meant on the IV in her arm and the tape securing the catheter for her epidural anesthesia.

But I can understand why you would not want to pull tape that was covering staples :(...ouch!

It was publicly announced yesterday that one of my most favorite music artists ever, Jun Seba (aka Nujabes) died from a car accident. So today I re-rendered a couple of his album covers with Filipino Baybayin/Alibata script...

:alienblush: Oops, good catch! I've been through so much of that I just grit my teeth and hope the nurse rips the tape off quickly. As for staples, no need to tape over them.
