I don't see why having Jenny return would be such an issue.
Please, God, please...I have a feeling we're going to be done with Rose for a long time, if not forever.
I would agree with that, with the caveat that since Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures are still expected to continue into the future, that it would be okay for 11 to run into Captain Jack and/or Sarah Jane at some point.I think it would be silly to bring back any of the old companions as none of them will have had any contact with this new Doctor, and it would take away the emotional impact of 10 saying goodbye to all of them.

Yeah, I could take or leave Sarah Jane, but I think the nature of Captain Jack's character pretty much guarantees that he'll be around. Please, God, please...I have a feeling we're going to be done with Rose for a long time, if not forever.

No, Jack was created by RTD. Moffat got to write the first story with Jack in it, and Moffat created the "two year gap" in Jack's memories. Also, keep in mind that Moffat did CREATE Captain Jack. I think he has a right to use the character. Also, I preferred Jack when he was written by Moffat. I haven't seen him do better than Empty Child/Doctor Dances since.

Why not have a Doc-lite episode again? They've been very popular over the last 3 years.
Ever since Season 2, they've filmed fourteen episodes in the amount of time originally allotted to thirteen-- presumably to keep costs down. That means two episodes need to be filmed at once, and David Tennant was not capable of being in two places simultaneously.I've never really understood why there is a need for the lite episodes.

Oh, give me a break. He has a Tardis, doesn't he?
Jeez, what a relief. When I saw the thread title I immediately thought of Saint Fucking Rose...

Not any more!
Gotta say as NuWho companions go, St. Rose is on the bottom of my list. Not even sure if she's on my top 10 companions list.Jeez, what a relief. When I saw the thread title I immediately thought of Saint Fucking Rose...
That was my first thought.
Im hoping its going to be a story arc and be rounded off at the finale, unless theyre filming pick-ups or aditional scenes that need to be re-done or added for the eps that she is in.
But knowing Moffat and his love "Letting the audience imagine a majority of the story" he'll not let us in on the big secret(s).
