Jeez, what a relief. When I saw the thread title I immediately thought of Saint Fucking Rose...
I have a feeling we're going to be done with Rose for a long time, if not forever.
I think it would be silly to bring back any of the old companions as none of them will have had any contact with this new Doctor, and it would take away the emotional impact of 10 saying goodbye to all of them.

Why not have a Doc-lite episode again? They've been very popular over the last 3 years.

yeah, but they are, as far as I'm aware- Moff said at the start of filming that he had 14 episodes to handle this season - that makes the season plus the 2010 Xmas special.
It's the finale readthru this week, apparently, but also (and also apparently) the looping session for her earlier episodes - so she could just be down for that, or she could be in the finale readthru.
Or both, of course!

Internally, BBC is calling this series one. Externally, they're calling it series five. And in some fandom circles (Gallifrey Base, apparently) they're calling it series 31.
Series Fred is a way around all that, by sort of mocking it.

Back on topic, I would love to see River (assuming she has good chemistry with Smith) hang out in the TARDIS for several episodes. I'm sure she's travels with him for awhile at some point. I also wouldn't mind Jenny popping up again, and the three of them trying out a strange adventurer-family dynamic.
I also would have loved to have seen Jenny come back, but somehow I don't think it'll be as effective a reunion without Tennant. I loved the idea of 10 & Jenny, but for me something will be lost now with any future meeting they have.
I can only hope.
Mostly agreed. "Love & Monsters" had the potential of being great but failed. "Blink" and "Turn Left," on the other hand, were both fantastic. Additionally, "Midnight" was a great episode, so I'm interested to see the Amy-lite episode as well.
^ My timeframe was a guess - I meant to exclude Love and Monsters and include the other 3.
