Houston becomes the largest city to elect openly gay mayor?

You would be mistaken. Again.

And please tell me what sinful behavior I am proud of?
You're proud of your judgmental behavior - that's pretty clear.

You're entitled to your opinion. Mine differs.

TLS, would you seek to have a homosexual (either gender) teacher or coach removed from their job with the school if you discovered that they were employed at your child's school?

How would I know they were a homosexual unless they informed my child? If they did, then yes I would. If they did not, then no, I wouldn't.
Let's say they didn't inform the child. Someone comes to you and tells you, or you find out one day when out getting groceries and they introduce you to their same-sex partner/spouse but the kids are never informed. This 1 issue aside, you've never once had issue with the teacher/coach and up till this you thought they were and excellent teacher and your kids like them.

No given that, in the classroom, their sexuality had not once been brought up or been a issue, would you still seek to remove them?

No. Absolutely not.

Sorry, no tolerance for intolerant people. Try again.
I was with you up to this statement.

If you practice tolerance, except for the people you find intolerant, then that isn't really tolerance. It's like shuting down someones free speach or right to assemby because you don't agree with them. I'm not saying the you have to endorse TLS's thoughts, there's is, in my mind, a difference between tolerance and acceptance. But isn't it a little too easy to shut down TLS solely because he's outside the main stream of consciousness?
Sorry, this is silly. Tolerance works only when it's mutual.

I'm willing to show tolerance, even of behaviours I don't approve but that technically have no bearing on the well-being of me or the ones I love (for an example, indoctrinating children into religion from a young age), but the moment the other part is not willing to show the same level of tolerance, the deal is off.

The matter is not free speech: people can say what they want whenever they want (and we can berate them as long as we want), but the moment they take action against someone (e.g. demanding the teacher is fired for being homosexual), it's a completely different animal.

If you are tolerant towards your neighbor, but he is not tolerant towards you, you will be just being stomped upon. I'm not Mahatma Fucking Gandhi, you know. :p

So why then treat a politician any different? If you wouldn't seek to remove them from your child's school, why remove them from office?

I'm not voting the politician out of office. I'm simply not voting for them.

So if you agreed with them 100% down the line except for this one issue, you wouldn't vote for them because of what they do in the privacy of their bedroom?

Now does that extended to people who are hetero but practice behaivors that some would classify as perverted or deviant? Or is sexual behavior only a issue with same-gender relationships?

I wouldn't vote for Mark Sanford either if it answers your question.

I'm talking about how far does your sexuality standard extend or is it exclusively related to things like homesexuality. How much of a impact does what happens between legally consenting adults in the privacy of their bedrooms, assuming that on all other issues you agree with them, has on your choices.

Say you found out some congressman you've supported for decades, family man, righteous man, patritotic, the whole 9 yardss, never cheated on his wife, say you found out that him and his wife were into BDSM and he was the submissive partner. Would that change your opinion of the man

McCain?

I believe he's asked for forgiveness and called his divorce "my biggest moral failure of my life". When Mr. Sanford recognizes his failures and asks to be forgiven perhaps I would change my mind. Same thing with the mayor in Houston or Mr. McCain.

Pretty simple.

Funny. Somewhere I remember this Jesus dude saying, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

If you're a Christian, then you should follow that guy's example as closely as you can. If you judge others as being "less" because of their sexuality, even if they are otherwise a very decent person, then you can't call yourself a true Christian, because you are NOT following the teachings of Christ. You can't talk the talk if you don't walk the walk.

My moral standard is given to me by God. Plain and simple. I make no distinction between homosexuality, adultery, or ANY other sin. It's all wrong.

However, anyone can be forgiven any sin. In that case I'd have no problem with supporting someone who had been imperfect. Just as I am also imprefect.
