I think that SG:U would've been better served if they had ditched practically everyone associated with the last few shows and gone out seeking new blood for the writing staff, possibly rookie screenwriters and a couple seasoned vets to show them the ropes. Hell, I'm pretty sure they could've snagged at least some of BSG's writing staff (Mark Verheiden, David Weddle, and Bradley Thompson in particular) and given us a more interesting show.
