Hopefully with the advent of a dedicated LFG channel in 3.3, us grown-ups can once again tune in to the Trade channel without being bombarded by the steady stream of profanity and noob abuse.

On the lighter side of things, I finally finished that tedious rep grind to exalted with Netherwing, and have 6 shiny new Netherdrakes in my back pocket to prove it. Though that did take a 1000g bite out of my alt's epic flyer training fund...

Cool! My main has all the Netherdrakes and all the Nether Rays (and all the talbuks..). I rarely see anyone on the Rays any more.

I love a good rep grind. Didn't find Netherwing too tedious once I learned where the eggs were, and there were lots of dailies.

My latest rep to exalted was with the Ogri'la which I did just for the tabard. Now THAT was tedious, only a few dailies available. I doubt many bother with it any more.

Am having issues with the game now...

The amount of sheer walking puts me into a coma, I don't play games to just walk. I can't find many quests and any that I do are impossible for me on level 7 I can't defeat the enemies. Also am having serious lag issues when I enter for example Stormwind City and its puts me off the game...

I am supposed to be playing on a big MMO server but this feels like a clan server with the appauling streaming when you get near more than a dozen people. Not my PC because it can play any game on market and has parts that weren't even invented when WOW came out originally and my internet speed is 10mb.

Also I am a Human Warrior and is it me or do they suck ??? everyone I see are something else and am wondering if theres a good reason for that.

Im a human warrior. I always go warrior as my first char on a server. Its a straight up attack class, unless you go for tank. It just takes a little time to get the skills you need, charge, rend, cleave, and shield bash are all really useful. But at level 7, you could still be in the abby doing the starting quests.

Oh, and at lvl 20, you can get a mount, and "walking" goes faster.

Wait, you can get a mount at level 20 now?

I think it goes like this now...

Basic ground mount - 20
Epic ground mount - 40
Basic Flying mount - 60
Epic Flying mount 70
Cold Weather mount - 68

Wow. This makes me excited... and angry.

Leveling a warrior was the first thing i did as well and in retrospect it was the most annoying of all my leveling experiences.
Picking a Human didn't exactly help you either, since the Human-populated regions where designed first and thus are to this day the most boring and tedious parts.
You should pick either Bloodelf or a Draenei.
Their starting zones are a lot more sophisticated, gameplaywise and they are packed with fun and diverse quests. You can get from lvl 1 to about lvl 19 in no time.

After that it's travelling around the world again, though. The quests are really sprinkled all over the continents, which is my major complaint about leveling in this game.
Fortunately that's gonna change come Cataclysm.

Nothing wrong with warriors (I play horde so I think there is something wrong with humans in general ) but it's a little difficult to level up I guess (I can't say but that's something I've been told). If you lmanage to go level 80, it will be great, there is a lot of demands for tanks in groups

Pretty much makes the Drood cheetah pointless. It's slower than a lvl 20 horsie, and you don't even get it until lvl 30.

I rerolled a druid recently you get the cheetah at level 16 now.
I had a lot of fun with it in warsong between levels 16 and 19

I'm currently in the process of doing Ogri'la rep. You're right, two dailies isn't much. Simon Says have a boring time.

It only takes a few minutes though, you spend more time travelling there from Shattrath than doing the dailies.

I finally got Loremaster and Seeker last week after putting my mind to it.

I've been playing about 1.5 years and from the time I started to now it's changed a lot. One thing is leveling is much, much easier. My first character was/is a Tauren warrior and I've only now begun to get him past 50. I created a Blood Elf warlock, a Troll hunter and several others and most of them are now 80's. I just found them easier and more enjoyable to level.

Warrior is definitely a slower grind IMO whereas a class with a pet like hunters or warlocks have a much easier go at it. I'd say create one of those (hunters are probably the easiest to level and a good "starter" class to get your toes wet with) and then come back to focus on the warrior if you're still interested in that.

Hunters and to a lesser extent Warlocks get a bad rep as being dumb players but it's more like a lot of new and inexperienced players start off with them to have a pet help fight for them. It does take a truly skilled player to utilize either to their fullest extent though so don't get put off by other people's opinons of them. They are well balanced choices for anyone.

I'm up to seven 80's now with help from the heirlooms giving 20% bonus experience and the increased leveling pace they introduced with WOTLK. To date I've got a druid, paladin, hunter, warlock, priest, death knight and rogue all at 80 and a mage plus the warrior in the lower-mid 50's range to level up.

Once you get to 80 once, it gets easier to know the lay of the land(s) and what quests to do. And to get stuff for your lower levels (heirlooms being the best: nothing beats more experience and constant "superior" quality gear) to level your alts up. Most of mine are decently geared through Naxx 10/25 man stuff and into Ulduar and TOC (10-25 man top level dungeons) but raiding isn't the only thing in the game, despite what some hardcore players might tell you. I've got this many 80's because I like the variety of gameplay and it keeps everything else fresh.

Try running the same dungeon 50 times as the same class and see how much fun it is on that 51st try.

Definitely don't give up right away. You can create up to 10 characters per server, 50 total, so go a bit nuts and try out other races/classes and specs if you're bored with the one you have now. Most of them aren't truly fun or enjoyable until around 30 when you get the better abilities.

LOL cool, yes Ogri'la is just slow. Did you do the controlling the demon ones at Sha'trul's Transporter? That gives rep too but I never could figure it out. Also you can kill the dragons once each. The tabard is great looking.. and while you are there you should buy some of Mingoe's Fortune Giblents at the food vendor. IF you sit long enough while eating one you get a often hilarious fortune. There are tons of them. My favorite one is: "The meaning of life is... (The rest of this message has been accidentally eaten.)"

I've thought about getting Loremaster because it would be so hilarious on a DK.

I decided not to go to Northrend until I had all the Outland rep I wanted because I'm sure at least some of it will disappear with Cataclysm. So I got exalted with Andor, Shattered Sun (for the title and tabard), Ogri'la, Shatari Skyguard, Netherwing, Maghar.. and by then I was 78. So I didn't have to do any trudgeing about in Northrend, just went there and got the flying. Looking at rep I want to grind there now.

(And btw to the post about new lvls for mounts, you can only get coldweather flying at 68 if you have already gotten it on one character at 77.)

I love the travelling, as long as it's not the Barrens.

I lvled a warrior to 40 something and that was it for me. I never ever liked the class. Favorite class is Priest, Hunters are great fun and DK's are practically autopilot but they are interesting lore wise and very useful when playing on some new server, LOL.

I agree about Humans. Most boring race.. why play a human when you are already a human? I like Orcs and Dwarfs myself.

Draenei starting zone is a lot of fun, as is the Blood Elf. They really did a lot of improving on the whole "kill 10 wolves" quests for the starting zones with BC.

I decided not to go to Northrend until I had all the Outland rep I wanted because I'm sure at least some of it will disappear with Cataclysm. So I got exalted with Andor, Shattered Sun (for the title and tabard), Ogri'la, Shatari Skyguard, Netherwing, Maghar.. and by then I was 78. So I didn't have to do any trudgeing about in Northrend, just went there and got the flying. Looking at rep I want to grind there now.

I only like two things about Northrend: Amberpine Lodge and Dalaran. The rest of that expansion is just bleh to me.

J. that is one reason I did all that Outland rep on this char. I really never liked Northrend and I did like Outlands. I figured.. why not get the most out of Outlands?

Dalaran is a work of art though.

That's weird. Right now I'm questing in Northrend, and save Nagrand, it is so much better than Outland. I couldn't wait to get out of Northrend. In the meantime, for the most part, Northrend's storyline and quests, at least from the Horde-side are pretty awesome, and some of the best that I've seen in an MMO (I'm still amazed that I switched to the Horde, I miss my old pink-haired gnome DK, but all of my friends are Horde ) - and I'm a LOTRO fanboy.

Northrend is just too cold and inhospitable. I actually get cold playing there. It's.. bleak.

However I am looking fwd to the quest lines.

Grizzly Hills is pretty different, more Alpine than wintry/desolate. And Sholazar Basin is practically tropical, in what little I've seen of it. Though Zul'drak can get...painful. >>

Grizzly Hills is my favorite part. It's like walking through our State Park, which is why I like Amberpine Lodge. However, Scholazar Basin's more like hot springs surrounded by tundra.
