He shoved him to the ground. He shoved an old man to the ground. I don't care if Zimmer is an asshole or not he's an old man who couldn't harm Pedro if he tried.
Yep, upon further analysis of the video, Pedro is in fact an asshole. I mean seriously, is it necessary for a thirty year old athlete to take an old man by the head and toss him to the ground?
What was he supposed to do, let Zimmer hit him? It was the middle of a fight and someone went after him. Zimmer shouldn't have attacked him, simple as that.
That's the way I look at it. For one thing, the incident has been blown out of proportion over the years, to where it sounds as if Pedro hit Zimmer with a WWE type of move. It wasn't anything near that. Could Pedro have defended himself in a less aggressive way? Possibly, but as someone who has no dog in this race, I don't see much of anything wrong with what Pedro did in that clip. Talking wouldn't have worked. It happened quickly and in the middle of a tense, highly emotional scrum.

If I was Charlie Manual, I'd probably put Pedro in game three just to keep the cheers away, but it doesn't really matter (Pedro is our 2nd best pitcher at the moment, so maybe he should go second and let Cole take game three at home where he'll hopefully be a bit sharper than before).

I see they're doing what they did last time - opening up Yankee Stadium for free when the Yanks are on the road (fans can come in and watch live feeds from Philly on the screens). I wish they'd do that all the time!
