I bought Damien Rice's 9 and Trudi Canavan's The Magician's Guild. :)
The latter is a superb book that got me reading fantasy again. Once you've finished with the trilogy, there's a prequel novel out called The Magician's Apprentice...and Canavan has a sequel trilogy in the works.

I'm volunteering for a charity event the day before halloween, attending a Halloween party on the actual night, and hosting a Twin Peaks related party, which I think is vaugely Halloween themed.

Needless to say, I needed a costume.

I assume my next purchase will be six bottles of Fat Tire for the tailgate tommorrow. I'm living the dream:techman:

Really? You a Kraftwerk fan? I didn't know this board had any except me. ;)

And let me say, the remastered albums sound TOTALLY AWESOME. This is the best remastering I've ever heard on *anything*. The sound goes way, way beyond the original CDs. There are three left (Computer World, Techno Pop, The Mix) that are due out (apparently) on October 20, I'm there!

Another vote by a Kraftwerk fan here. I didn't know they were doing remastering!

-- Toys for the 7 year old
-- Office Supplies (I swear, I'm putting a mousetrap in my office supply cabinet)
-- Come Monday, another Copay to the ObGyn.

An iiyama PLE2208HDS, 22" widescreen...
Native resolution is 1920 x 1080, which is 16:9 ratio...
Which is this big:

And Brutal Legend for the PS3...
Also some candy...

Yep. It's been in the works for awhile now. They're only now just coming out, though. These albums have already been released (I bought them from iTunes):

Autobahn
Radio-Activity
Trans Europe Express
The Man-Machine
Tour De France
<-- the remastered version drops the word 'Soundtracks' from the title

These three will be out in about a week:

Computer World
Techno Pop
<-- the original version is called Electric Café
The Mix

Also the whole thing will be out in a boxed set called The Catalogue next month.

I've even heard talk that the extremely rare first three albums are possibly being remastered (Kraftwerk, Kraftwerk 2, Ralf & Florian). No word on a release date though. (Warning: Apparently those albums don't sound much like the Kraftwerk we know. I don't think they even have much synthesizer work. But they're still Kraftwerkian in that they have a lot of effects and stuff.)

Awesome!

Sex. When I learned--about a decade ago--that my intelligence, sense of humor and skill as good listener counted for absolutely nothing in the quest for a companion, I also learned to think of women much as women think of men: as consumer goods.

Spent $42.90 on new art supplies to finish my book. I've set a deadline -- the rest of my illustrations done by the end of the 3 day weekend. They take an average of 2-5 hours a drawing, and I've 4 pages and the cover page left. I haven't slept in 36 hours, and I feel great. I did four illustrations yesterday and would have just kept going if my pens hadn't dried up.

That's a special purchase, alright.

I wanted a splash of colour for the winter, so I bought a Polo down filled vest. Mine is classic red though, with the top part remaining the same navy.

Which rather explains why you have to pay for it.
