Sweater sale at Old Navy! I bought 4

Also bought two dressy scarves; rose pink and teal green

My very pretty dress didn't fit me. I hate my proportions. :(

On the positive side, I can exchange it and get a dress for my friend that I know she really wants.

New Bill Engvall CD - Aged And Confused

(well not the actual CD, just the material on it, I buy exclusively from iTunes now. In fact I'll be going right BACK there tomorrow since they have some of the remastered Kraftwerk CDs!)

I got a 50 pound PSN card for the UK PSN store today. So with it, I got a bunch of DLC for Valkyria Chronicles, Prince of Persia, and LittleBigPlanet.

Added a doll to my collection today:

Found her at a closeout store. Half price. I love Madame Alexander dolls!

What kind of mystery novels? Give us some authors! I demand it!
Well, I've been on a roll lately as far as the mystery genre is concerned. I just finished the complete Sherlock Holmes Vol.1 -- the first time I've read Holmes since I was a child, and I've loved it just as much. I sprinkled in a couple of Agatha Christies that I hadn't yet read last week as well. Today I opted for the modern, and got the first two in Val McDermid's Tony Hill series. I'm a voracious reader, and am enjoying the first book, The Mermaids Singing, so I'll have to pace myself if I don't want to rush through them all too quickly. I have a couple of physics books I haven't read yet, and A connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, plus The Hippopotimus, by Stephen Fry, which I'm halfway through and enjoying very much -- I just wanted something more dramatic to focus on today.

Since work has been such a crap-fest the last week or so, I decided to indulge myself. I bough Newman's Own Ginger-O cookies. They are organic, made with real sugar and very very tasty. They are like an Oreo except the cookie is like a ginger snap. They are sooooo good!

Really? You a Kraftwerk fan? I didn't know this board had any except me. ;)

And let me say, the remastered albums sound TOTALLY AWESOME. This is the best remastering I've ever heard on *anything*. The sound goes way, way beyond the original CDs. There are three left (Computer World, Techno Pop, The Mix) that are due out (apparently) on October 20, I'm there!

On Saturday I bought 12 crime novels. 9 by Ian Rankin, 2 by Colin Dexter and 1 by Peter Robinson. All I need now is time to read them.

Had some time to kill this afternoon between appointments. Stopped in at the recycled book store and bought two Joseph Haldeman books - Forever War (the complete edition with the extended visit to Earth) and Forever Free, as well as a gardening book for my wife.

I bought a really crappy CFL that I think I'm going to return to the store. The color temp is off the kelvin black body scale into HULKSMASH green. I turn it on and get sick to my stomach. Ugh.

Bought new bedding for the someday-to-be-adopted kid's room. Had to find something that was fairly gender-neutral, very cheap and still kinda hip.

Went with a teal/brown/white modern print.
