Well I wouldn't worry. Your masculinity is still intact. Mine, however, might not be. My mom used to borrow my sewing machine because it was better than hers. :alienblush:

SwiMP3 waterproof bone-conducting MP3 player. Now I really will have to get back into swimming. :shifty:

I just got the annual subscription to to NHL Center Ice, which means I can watch all NHL games online. :D Totally worth the 80€.

I like this one.

Lots of flannel plaids around this year, for sure. Not something I can pull off (lumberjack shirts really aren't my style), but I quite like it on girls. Though most of all if the casual pattern/fabric is combined with a more formal cut.

That all made little sense to me, although I have to agree that lumberjack shirts aren't your style.

There are two things that I wasn't crazy about in that dress though -- the back is kind of racerback-ish, and the other is that the top is a bit small for my liking. Still it's cute and casual though.

Bridget Jones' Diary. I'm teaching a course on Popular Fiction for Fairleigh-Dickinson University and, after weeks devoted to SF, graphic novels and hard-boiled crime fiction, I figured I'd better put something on the syllabus that wasn't "stuff Rey really digs." So I bit the bullet and devoted a week to The Bridges of Madison County and Diary. Already read Bridges and it was a feculent piece of rancid roadkill. I expect little more from Diary.

Oh well. At least I get to teach The Forever War, Watchmen and The Postman Always Rings Twice. And I get a second source of income--here we are in the worst recession since whenever and I'm making more money than I ever have.

^ Either that or a blow to the head. :rommie:

I bought... wait for it... beer. I plan on doing some drinking while sew this afternoon. It sounds dangerous doesn't it.

I laid in enough groceries (and beer) to get me through most of the upcoming week when I'll be pretty much stuck at home.

I bought "Dracula." I've been on a huge Buffy and Angel kick lately, and I feel like I should expand my knowledge of the vampire genre (though I have no intention of ever reading Twilight).
