We haven't had one of these threads in a while, so I thought I'd start one.

I had an expensive day today, here's what I got:
    - optical audio cable (7€ - $10)
    - HDMI cable (10€ - $13)
    - Playstation 3 starter pack which contains a 60GB HDD, an extra controller, Motorstorm and Resistance (500€ - $650)
    - extended 6-year warranty for the PS3 (75€ - $100)

My latest purchases were solar lights...

...while I personally don't subscribe to any world ending global warming theory I decided to hedge my bets and reduce my carbon footprint as far as our outdoor floodlight goes.

We live out in the country and it is dark dark here...hence the floodlight...trouble is many times it is left on 24/7.

About 3 weeks ago I got 6 of them and liked 'em so much now I'm up to 14. Got the white ones and elevated 'em to our fence posts...that way the light extends out 10feet or so. Also got 2 soler flood lights mounted on the garage roof edge to illuminate where the wife parks and walks. Put a couple more behind the garage where we have campfires all the time.

Damm I just love 'em sometimes late at night I'll go out late with the dogs just to check them out. hummmm think I'll check out WalMart to see if there reduced now that fall is here and maybe buy some more...just hope they work as well in the winter.

Two nights ago purchased a Kahr CW 40. It's very slim and generally very small - it prints very little when I carry it (much less of a bulge than with my XD40). I also bought a hardened case, 4 locks for it, and three trigger locks. :)

Last week I purchased an mp3 player alarm clock. No more do I have to listen to a grating beeping tone every morning.

I'm glad you failed, because I think I can help you with some knowledge!

#1: NEVER buy a used car without having a qualified mechanic thoroughly inspect it.
#2: If you "buy here, pay here" you will pay 2x what the car is worth!

    Congratulations kim!

No big purchases recently. Just a couple of bottles each of a decent white Burgundy and a lovely Trapiche as well as a decent 10 year tawny port. Should keep me happy for a while. :)

Thanks. :) It was the first time I bought a car by myself. The last car (eleven years ago) I took my dad along. It was embarrassing because he made a couple of sales guys cry. I noticed this time around was a lot different. Sure, there were a few dealerships that didn't even acknowledge me so I turned around and walked out. However, I ended up buying from a nice single mom who not only greeted me at the door and let me test drive car after car after car on my two visits but she was also the only rep I talked to who called me the week between when I started looking and when I bought. Quite a difference!

    That all sounds yummy. :)

I tried to buy a burgundy scarf and hat to match a burgundy bag yesterday. I found none. Instead I ended up buying a teal hat and brown, green and black scarves.

Why is burgundy so hard to find. I need burgundy boots. Teal boots too. Sigh.
