What Did You Have For Dinner Last Night?

made grilled pizza with prosciutto, sun -dried tomato, goat cheese, roasted artichoke hearts and kalamata olives. I sorta loaded it up with all the things The Hubby doesn't like, as he's away enjoying Oktoberfest in Munich, so I figured I deserved to treat myself. :)

Sat myself down with a beer and my pizza and watched one of the rare east coast broadcasts of my college football team (Go Beavs!)

Unfortunately, they lost. :(

But, the pizza was still good.

Pret a Manger sandwich on the way home - with tuna, eggs, black olives, onions, and rocket. Tasted much better than it sounds.

Elmo and I went met some friends and went to the Dali Restaurant in Somerville last night. The place was packed and there would have been a 45 minute wait except they offered us four seats at the bar which we took. Man, it was wonderful. We basically ordered a bunch of appetizer size dishes including Cauliflower/Broccoli/Cheese Puffs, Scallops in Saffron Cream, Beef Short Ribs in Rioja Wine Sauce, Fried Spanish Cheese w/Honey & Sweet Onion  Unforgettable how delicious their food is!

Something called a "Hunter's Melt" which was on the specials board at the pub and grill last night. Thinly slice ribeye covered in swiss and cheddar cheese, grilled onions and sauteed mushrooms served on sourdough bread with fries. It was surprisingly good.

I'm so jealous. I haven't been there in years! Your description seriously has me

More of the same, boring dinners. I'm trying to get my blood sugar back under good control, and despite consuming pretty much nothing but salad and veggies (non starchy, I know my carbs), I'm not having much luck. :(
Today's salad: mixed greens, celery, green onion, sprouts, chickpeas, homemade tahini dressing.

Went to this nice resturant/bar place in the East Village last night, can't remember the name of it, but damn did they serve up a tasty burger, definately going back there!

I'm in!!! What about you, Smoothie? ;)

^I'm in there like swim wear!

Last night I made something of a cross between pot roast and stew. Cooked a piece of brisket pot roast style for a couple hours, then threw in some stew veggies (carrot, turnip, parsnip, potato, yam, celery) for the last hour or so.

Baked up a white acorn squash with brown sugar and raisins to go on the side. It was good. Yesterday was a crappy day here, and it was nice to have the kitchen smells wafting around the house.

It also counteracted the dog, who had a horrid case of the toots yesterday.

Sounds like a pahty (sic - for those not from the Bahston area.) :p

That sounds fantastic!!!

I forgot to mention above that I made Teriyaki steak tips last night with a nice iceberg "wedge" salad (accompanied by more home grown veggies) and baked potato (and a few left over frozen "Nathan's" onion rings which -- can I just say -- are pretty damn good.)

It also counteracted the dog, who had a horrid case of the toots yesterday.

So, it's not just my dogs? Must be something in the air - pun intended. :p

^Yeah I don't get it either. All afternoon yesterday he was stinking it up like mad. I did give him some leftovers I was throwing out of the fridge in the morning. Shame on me I guess, and I paid for it later.

We were out running around most of yesterday, so we just stopped and picked up some Chinese food on the way home.
