Something called a "Hunter's Melt" which was on the specials board at the pub and grill last night. Thinly slice ribeye covered in swiss and cheddar cheese, grilled onions and sauteed mushrooms served on sourdough bread with fries. It was surprisingly good.
It sounds awesome from the description. Why the surprise at the goodness?
More of the same, boring dinners. I'm trying to get my blood sugar back under good control, and despite consuming pretty much nothing but salad and veggies (non starchy, I know my carbs), I'm not having much luck.![]()
Today's salad: mixed greens, celery, green onion, sprouts, chickpeas, homemade tahini dressing.
Hope your luck turns soon!
I'm killing time, waiting for my roast leg of pork to finish cooking. It already smells utterly delicious but isn't quite done yet, so I'm desperately trying to distract myself from it while waiting...
