No Guerrero? No Hunter?

No problem!

Just send Aybar up there and let him swing away!

:techman:

Welcome to the Red Sox Adam LaRoache...

While not Adrian Gonzalez....sigh...it's still a smart pickup for some low level minor league guys.

I'm just mostly pissed I had to watch a Phillies montage.

They're the defending World Series champions. It's not like they've been giving them coverage for years. They're not the Yankees or the Red Sox. They're being given coverage because they just won a championship and are currently playing well.

The Pirates have traded away some of the best players in the game over the past few years... it makes me wonder how some managers think.

The Rangers won another game against the mighty Red Sox last night. Maybe they can go for the sweep tonight, but of course the damn Angels keep winning making gaining ground on them harder. At least they are only a couple back, and there's a lot of season left.

You're right about the Phillies, but I do think places like ESPN give more coverage on the big northeastern teams than other teams that might be doing well.

It's understandable. That's where a lot of the money lies, and the northeastern fans gobble baseball up more than others might, imo. It still would be nice if they highlighted how other teams are doing more from a time to time.

No pitching, no offense, and enough players on the DL to fill a hospital wing. That's life as a Mets fan.

So everyone in this thread is suffering except for the Philly Fans. Great.

I'm not suffering.

:techman:

Angel fans have no reason to suffer. Even if they suck they're still going to the playoffs. Even though watch out for Texas. I think one could define them this season as a "dark horse".

 Someone (the Cardinals) just gave the Red Sox something for Julio Lugo!

I mean, not much (Chris Duncan, and the Sox pay Lugo's full salary), but still, have fun with that...

Mets lost to the Nats again. :scream: If they can't beat the NATIONALS, the worst team in BOTH leagues...there's no hope of salvaging the season. They need healthy players and a better bullpen.

edited because for some reason I typed "system" instead of "season", and I have no idea why!

...and the Rangers *sweep* the BoSox! :techman:

(Not so sure that it was so obvious that Ian Kinsler committed interference in that one play. I just thought it was normal base running. At least he ducked the throw, didn't he? ;) )

Total interference...but fuck it it didn't matter anyway, this team couldnt hit the side of a barn right now.

While it sucks to watch, they are still at the end of the day, a better built club, and will go further into october then the Yanks or Rays, of that I am confident.
