Rutger Hauer's best Sci Fi?

Most will say Blade Runner, but what about Deadlock, Omega Doom, & Crossworlds? Doom fans, your chance to speak is now.

Funny how Hauer gets slagged of as a has been doing B movies later in his career, but David Carradine gets labeled a legend for doing B movies earlier in his career.

You consider Crank 2 not a B movie? :p

Blood of the Juggers, I think that's the title. It was where he was some kind of gladiator in a post-apocalyptic world.

Since he himself has said that he thinks Blade Runner is his best Sci-Fi role I think that I'll still with it too.

As the lone "Blade Runner" hater here, and apparently the only one on the Internet and the entire rest of the world, I'm gonna have to go with "Batman Begins"...that is, assuming it can be considered "sci-fi" :p. It gets pretty awful in parts with the overabundance of exposition and some way too stretched out action scenes (i.e. the Batmobile chase), but I find its characters and story a hell of a lot more interesting than both in "Blade Runner".

I saw Crossworlds when I was young and didn't quite get it. But I remember liking it to a certain extent.

Blade Runner by at least a parsec.

NO contest.

Dippinh over into fantasy...I also liked Hauer a great deal in Ladyhawke. I enjoyed seeing him play the romantic lead for a change.

Easily "Blade Runner", I think. Not only do I think the movie is amazing, I happen to think his performance in the film is absolutely stunning as well. "Blade Runner" wouldn't be as good as it is without him IMHO.

There's a huge difference between starting out in B-movies (James Cameron) and ending up there (Wesley Snipes). Also, back then B-movies were like a springboard for people starting out in the biz.
