Yep, Grayza was an attempt at a Servalan-type character but turned out to be Servalan-lite. Very, very lite. Oddly enough (speaking as a B7 fan), the Grayza character doesn't really irritate me. Compared to Sikozu she's almost great.

I'm kinda curious about that, too. I haven't heard anything about them since they were announced, and that was ages ago now.

I loved how a lot of the show takes place in John's head . . . I mean it had cartoons! :D
and even with the cartoons it made sense (forget which episode it was) and it didn't even throw me out of the mood when they appeared
it was like 'oh yeah that belongs there'
don't know how to describe it but it was cool

The webisodes had slipped my mind. I'm eagerly anticipating more Farscape.

I'm actually not sure more is necessary. Very few Sci-Fi shows get a good end to them, and I think the PKW miniseries actually did a great job of closing it off. And yeah, they could do really cool stuff, but they could also do crap that might sour the memory of such a good closing finale. /Shrug. We'll see though. You never know what might happen...

Though I've yet to finish the series (just finished re-watching Liars, Guns and Money Part II) I know there are a few dangling plot threads that are unresolved in the end, relating to Chiana and Rigel's backstories. I wouldn't mind further installments to tie up these loose ends.

I think Rygel's story gets more or less wrapped up by the end of "The Peacekeeper Wars."

I think they visit Hyneria in one of the comics, but to my knowledge, most threads are wrapped up in the miniseries. I think Chiana's seeming lack of total resolution is simply due to D'Argo's fate.

Ah, forgive me then, for I have not seen the fourth season or PKW (yet). I just finished the second season this evening, so I will be there very soon, however.

The comments about Chiana not receiving full resolution relate to comments by Rockne S. Obannon that are on the Starburst DVDs. He says the story of Nerri (and the Nebari Rebbelion) were supposed to be in PKW, but had to be cut for time (at the script stage).

I have yet to read those comics. I'm waiting for the Trade Paper Back, and my birthday to pass.

As far as unresolved plots, the Nebari Resistance is pretty much the main one. However, it's not really even touched on much in Seasons 3 or 4 at all, so you don't really think too much about it.

No prob. Believe it or not, I just finished the series less than two weeks ago myself. I watched it straight through from the pilot to miniseries. It's a great ride.

The whole Nebari side of the equation was never quite touched. From what I remember, there were 3 main groups - the Sebaceans, the Scarrans and the Nebari. While the series (till PKW) has dealt with the first two in great detail, the Nebari are left a little open-ended. We never get to see their empire, politics, machinations that much.

Also from what I remember What was Lost (I guessed this was the two parter that begins season 4) doesn't really payoff in season 4. It pays off in the PKW (or what would have been season 5). Isn't that so?

    ^ Thanks!

I always felt that it would have been better if PKW had taken place over an entire season - I think all that stuff with the Interions looked rushed in the PKW - there's a lot of items that needed to be covered in the PKW storyline and I felt that I would have loved it all to happen in a 5-6 episode story arc like it happens in season 4.

I am in a minority possibly that I thought season 4 is better than season 3 simply because the Scarren arc at that end (everybody else I think faults s4 for having a pretty bad first half - which it does).

Did it? We never saw him get back to Hyneria, did we?

I remember the Nebari and Hynerian plot lines being unfinished by the time PKW ended. It would be nice to have some resolution there, but I wonder how much one can do with webisodes of a couple of minutes each.

We don't see him return, but we know he's on his way because his cousin invited him back.

A lot of the Hynerian plot line is covered in the comics. I understand that the comics are supposed to lead into the webisodes, but there are other stories being told by the comics as well. For instance there's a storyline going on involving D'Argo that occurs prior to the events in the PKW series.

As far as the PKW story line goes, it was supposed to be the 5th season. Sci-Fi pulled the plug on the show part way through the 4th season, even with that, the shows writers didn't change the end of the 4th season, hoping that somehow the show would continue. I remember quite clearly my wife and I watching the finale of season 4. I was speechless, while my wife just sat and cried quietly. I sat staring at the tv stunned for about 15 minutes without even realizing what was on the tv and just shut it off and walked outside. To this day it was one of the most devestating, breathtaking and every other adjective I can think of, ending to a show I had ever seen in my life. The day the PKW's was announced was among the happiest days of my life.

    Yes, I know, I'm sad and pathetic, ain't I.

I remember bursting out laughing when I watched the finale. As unintentional as it was to end there, I thought that John and Aeryn getting vaporized in the middle of nowhere was such a perfect Farscape moment that it was the perfect ending for the series.

I must be one of the few who liked the first half of season four. It wasn't quite up to snuff with the latter half, but I quite enjoyed the early stuff with DRD 1812 and even liked the two parter everyone else here seems to joke about.
