Transmorphers: Fall of Man -- the trailer is finally here!!!

You know, as shitty as it's gonna be, the effects work in it, at least from the trailer, isn't half bad considering what it is.

And WHY BRUCE BOXLEITNER?! WHY?!

You know... I'm glad that there is still c grade direct to dvd stuff out there. Sure 99% of it is junk, but there is still that 1% of golden "good-bad" movies that get made because of it.

We need more of these studios to pop up if you ask me... To open the field, let the new people who may get overlooked in the industry because they aren't a "cash cow" name get some early work to help provide a spring board for their careers.

The studios that pump out Snakes on a Train, Metal Man, The Da Vinci Treasure and The Black Knight Returns aren't going to open the doors for anyone. There isn't going to be a James Cameron or Ron Howard springboarding to the next level. If you look at the resumes, the people behind the scenes and in front of the cameras are pretty much lifers with The Asylum and Halycon.

That trailer was shameless about ripping off Transformers! Right down to the title card!

Oh DTV movies. Don't ever change!

Bruce Boxleitner? What the hell? I feel so sorry for him.

Sad thing is, Transmorphers was vastly superior to Transformers.... So I don't see how this will be any different.

Why hasn't a studio snatched up go-bots? ;)

Cause Go-Bots is part of the Transformers brand now. Hasbro bought out the property a few years back.
the GoBots are looking for work

as for Transmorphers, it looks no worse than the actual Transformers movie, only Tranformers had millions of $s blown on it.

Well we know Leader-1 became Megatron's Bitch. :p

As for bad transformers knock-offs: Meh, it might a good in a bad way. Something to MST3K with some pals over a couple of cold beers/sodas.

It doesn't matter if it's a cheapo Asylum knock-off or the biggest-budget studio film of the year... I hate that goddamned 'Tiny clip... fade to black. Tiny clip... fade to black. Tiny clip... fade to black. Pause. CUT CUT CUT CUT CUTCUTCUTCUTCUT! Black" style of trailer-making that infests cinemas today. Everyone does it (the latest I saw was the GI Joe trailer just last night), and it pisses me off. Do something different!

Yeah, it's time to find new "trailer tricks".

And what are there, like five people in the entire movie?!

When you can hear the actor actually running and there are several seconds of silence other than that when it's supposed to be "tension building", you know you've got an Albatross on your hands.

J.

Are you not familiar with The Asylum? They can't exactly afford much for their 10-day shoots.

The sad thing is their budgets are large enough to make Sundance-type character-driven movies. Instead, they try to buy $75 million worth of special effects for $500,000.

Well,it looks like CHicago is featured in someway (The Sears Tower)...so i'd be interested.....when it comes on Sci-Fi!

Man, too bad The Asylum seemingly has closed their open door policy. I would love to get involved with them just for the hell of it. I think it would be hilarious to have something like "Transmorphers" on my resume.
