It wouldn't be top on my list of things I want to see, but a Khan-driven sequel could be great. I have often wondered what a more sympathetic portrayal of Khan could accomplish.
The only way I can see this working is if another Federation Starship discovers the botany bay and they take over that ship and the Enterprise has to save the day and fight Khan.
Ha! I don't think anyone would take it that far. They might as well do a shot-by-shot remake.
If they do this (and I hope they dont) perhaps they can pick up a big name Bollywood actor for Khan. tap into the South Asia market a little bit.
Im sure just about any bollywood actor would be an unknown in the US lolIf they do this (and I hope they dont) perhaps they can pick up a big name Bollywood actor for Khan. tap into the South Asia market a little bit.
If they recast Khan then I hope that they at leat pick a lesser known actor. They did a great job casting unknowns for Star Trek and the movie worked better that way.

What do you suggest then? someone has to find him on the botany bay and like what happened in that TOS episode he'll try to take over the ship.
^Heh, I think it'd be great if they Sikhed him up properly, with someone like Waris Singh Ahluwalia playing him. Although there's no particular reason why Khan Noonien Singh would actually be a religious Sikh--Singh could just as easily be a name borrowed from one of the scientists who built him--it would be an original visual stamp to put on the character. If they do this (and I hope they dont) perhaps they can pick up a big name Bollywood actor for Khan. tap into the South Asia market a little bit.
Actually I think it would be pretty cool if he was a religious Sikh. Its not really a character trait you see so often in Trek. Either way, it seemed pretty clear he was supposed to at least be of Indian decent, why not actually cast an Indian for the role. After all, its a country of a billion people. That's a billion potential ticket sales^Heh, I think it'd be great if they Sikhed him up properly, with someone like Waris Singh Ahluwalia playing him. me tooI would really prefer something new, not redoing older stories. One time seeing that fucker Khan was enough for me.
A Starfleet ship discovers the Botany Bay, has trouble with Khan and the Enterprise is called in.
