He definitely said it was a Ceti Alpha something, but it looked like a nastier version that wouldn't fit in the ear. Maybe it was an adult one, it did look about the size of the one that Khan grabbed the baby eels from in STII.
I am going to be pay so much attention on Sunday again. Hell if I could find someone in Tampa on Saturday who would go see it in IMAX with me, I'd go three times in three days!![]()

No it was not a Ceti Eel. It was a Centauran Slug (another reference to the fans is Alpha Centauri, site of a Federation Colony).
^ The conspiracy aliens? I doubt it. The conspiracy aliens were said to be from an unexplored part of the galaxy. Was that actually a Ceti eel? The excited Trekkie sitting next to me squealed so loudly I couldn't hear the dialogue?

I wonder, this slug, could it be a cousin of those slugs in TNG that almost took over Starfleet?
Cardassian Sunrise. Tee-hee.
And...cue the canonites who say the Federation should know nothing of the Cardassians in this timeframe.![]()

Those canonites would be idiots then. There was a DS9 episode that mentioned a Cardassian poet who lived in exile on Vulcan in the mid-23rd Century.
