What most of these people fail to realize is those little papaer masks are designed to to keep germs from coughs and sneezes IN. Not protect you from them.

Maybe in Mexico they were giving the masks out because a lot of people have bad breathe and this was a great excuse to help that!

It's influenza people, get the fuck over it! The bug constantly mutates, that's why there's a seasonal vaccine that doesn't even work half the time.
My hospital is talking about making employees wear masks at all time (which I believe the ER is already doing). I've already told them that I'd rather catch the damn thing and soak up two weeks of PTO than breathe my own bad breath for 13 hours straight. If somebody has a confirmed infectious disease, then we isolate them and break out the PPE. I'm not going to start treating everybody else like I'm scared of them though.

I went to Mexico 17 years ago when I got married. I got sick afterwards, at the time I thought it was just food poisoning but now I think it's Pig Flu!!!
