Deanna Troi: What changes would you make

i dont think id really make any changes, i quite liked her character. ok she was a bit bland at times but there were other characters to fill that void. u have to draw a line sometimes, not all characters can be awesome and deeply moving and interesting, some characters are just there to kinda balance things out imo...

What I meant by being able to to pilot a shuttlecraft is that it would give her a reason to be on the bridge since she would then be able to work at conn some of the time and what happened in the movie would NOT come across as shoehorned in.

Or, at least if they had shown her successfully piloting something before, it wouldn't have seem like the crazy female driver crashing the ship the first time she flew it.

A new episode idea I had was Deanna gets shifted through different realties so we get a one to one exchange with her counterpart; we get to see the different paths Deanna Troi’s could have taken do we get the original Deanna Troi back in our reality?

I like Deanna as well. I don't have a prob with the 'Pain....terrible pain', etc, etc. But, of what i've seen up to midway S4, i don't care for the stories that have revolved around her. 'The Loss' in S4 comes to mind.

The Loss could have become a Plot Arc for Deanna, another dropped ball.

Well I'm going to work on my ideas for Deanna’s Brain which will not be as long as Skin of Evil and then see what to to with Skin of Evil

You know, I was skimming through my Phase II book contemplating how much Troi was based on Phase II Ilia, and I couldn't help but wonder what it would have been like if Troi was kept much more like Ilia (maybe even no hair?) and was at conn instead of Geordi?

I'm pretty sure that's true. I remember Grace Lee Whitney saying something about being surprised by the one she had to wear in VGR's 'Flashback' and saying that it 'pointed to the stars.'
