So could someone explain to me
Voyager goes back to the Delta Quadrant? Slipstream?
And is it just me or without the old crew doesn't it seem like just another ship? How many original crew are present aboard? Why should I care to read the books, if I liked the show based on the situation and the crew?
Well, I must say thatthe whole thing is getting more and more ridiculous. They split up the old crew, kill off Janeway and send the ship with that new crew of second-class loser characters to the Delta Quadrant. Who want that crap when there are old episodes to watch and old books to read about the real Voyager crew?

Rick Berman split up the crew by promoting her to Admiral. Go cry to him.
Generally, I'm fine with relaunches and whatnot, but to me those series were more about the characters and the arcs and I'm not interested in reading about 'new' characters, post-premise.

Meanwhile Admiral Necheyev had her own ship. Her job required her to be mobile I suppose, so she had a fixed flag. At least, that's what I gathered from her handful of appearances on TNG and DS9.
I must say that I do find some comments in Joe's spoiler a bit insulting to certain people. Those comments weren't necessary at all.
I agree. Keep it about individual posts, not individual posters or groups of posters.

In a cameo originally intended for Seven of Nine, I might add.

Actually that was a rumor started by folks who wanted to add more fuel to the "Jeri stole Kate's role as star of the show from her" hoo-ha that was so prevalent back then.
Seven was never intended to be in the film and Jeri was never offered the role. The excuse that "Boston Public" interfered sounds good on paper until you realize that it takes a day to film a cameo like that, and Jeri's shooting schedule on that show was in her own words, "like a vacation."

I know that they're not canon but in the novels she moves on to the Sovereign and it has a separate Captain.
The only ship commanded by an Admiral that we know of in canon is the Enterprise-D in AGT. Kirk took a grade reduction to Captain in TMP. Admiral Hansen appeared to be in the Captain's Chair of the ship he was on in Wolf 359, but its captain may have been dead.
I actually think that was one of the cooler things to come out of that.I'm really curious about perceptions of the new Annika Hansen.
Following the destruction of the Borg by the Caeliar, Seven of Nine's Borg components disintegrated and she collapsed to the deck of the President's Conference Room (she was a Special Advisor during the Borg invasion of the Federation). When she was revived she looked up and said "My name's Annika."
Yeah, that he keeps both feet on the ground and things in proper perspective.I must say that I do find some comments in Joe's spoiler a bit insulting to certain people. Those comments weren't necessary at all.

Imagine the following scene in a Voyager episode:
A Borg cube is approaching a star system. Suddenly a small shuttle is visible, the shuttle moves towards the Borg cube. The next scene shows the interior of the Borg cube and we see the Borg Queen. Then all of a sudden a screen lights up and shows the interior of the shuttle with the Hansons singing "Mmmm-bop-bop-bop-mmm-bop".
The Borg Queen looks terrified and screams "It's-the-Hansons! They-will-assimilate-us! Then all of the Borg on the cube, including the Borg Queen starts singing "Mmmm-bop-bop-bop-mmm-bop".![]()

No use in doing so since he's not involved with Voyager anymore. Better to complain to thise who are writing the books because they have the power and opportunity to change things and correct the worst errors.
