New Trailer OFFICIALLY Online - HD

I finally saw the HD trailer.....even better. I literally got chills when seeing the scenes of the Enterprise flying through the debris near the end.

I heard the Uhura "line" people are talking about 3 times. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Its a fairly insignificant line that takes up about a half a second, no big deal.

Doesn't it appear that the damaged saucer in front of the enterprise is LARGER than the Enterprise saucer?

RAMA

i can clearly see the numbers 152 on the saucer debris, i wonder what ship it was??

Actually, it's 0162...
(the zero is supposition, but would hold true with what we've seen so far. ...Sorry wormhole.:borg:)

And there is probably know way of really knowing what ship it is unless it's shown intact earlier in the movie, since pretty much everything we thought we knew about Trek is changing.

(not a slight, just a fact)

But we've pretty much all agreed on the Mayflower being that saucer under the Enterprise in that one shot now, not the U.S.S. Rob Lowe, right? ;)

It's the USS Derek Lowe, and it's been known to have affairs with media vessels from time to time.

Even the site navigation is cool:

Yeah, it is. :bolian:

Think that Flower has kinda been shown to be more likely LOWELL...

The F looks more like damage than a letter.

But it's all a big guess at this point. :)

Wow, amazing! Most epic trailer since Lord of the Rings! I hope the music is like that in the movie. It does have a Batman Begins/The Dark Knight quality too it but it was definitely something new.

Does JJ Abrams still have anything to do with Lost? I know he created it but it seems that the direction the show is taking is in the hands of Lindeloff and Carlton Hues or whatever his name is.

My neighbor came over tonight. He doesn't have the itnernet. He is a movie fan but he doesn't watch trailers or anyhting so I showed him all the trailers for the big summer movies. STar Trek, Terminator, Transformers, GI Joe, Wolverine. I didn't comment. (I didn't show him Harry Potter. i dont follow that) Anyway after I showed him all three trailers I asked him which one he liked best, he said Star Trek. He said probably second, but distant is the NIN Terminator trailer.

This guy by the way is not a Trek fan. he told me he wants to see it

Actually, after having watched the trailer for the third time, and learning that William Shatner 'stole' a bike in his youth, it has started to grow on me!!:):)

I think I can see what JJ was getting at. I was just a little bit too old and slow and stiff!! We have to go backward a little bit before we go forward.

I hope they show that trailer with Spock in on Brit TV when it comes out.

The Brits are a bit more conservative.

That was awesome on a stick! This has moved me from seeing it sometime after opening to seeing it opening day.

Now, a question:

I can't do screen grabs, so, at about 1:27 in the 2:15 version, a small ship streaks from left to right and crashes into a bigger ship.

Is that Spock's time ship crashing into the Narada?

See thread here

Yes, most speculate that to be his time ship.

I agree --

It could be an "F", but it does seems to be spaced too far away from the "L", so I think it may be damage. Although I, too, am only guessing.

Great trailer. I'm getting cautiously excited about the film. I will be checking in out in IMAX in NYC on opening day. Looks like a theme is becoming evident - destiny will out, no matter what. Kirk would be Kirk, changed timeline or not. Can't wait.
