Yes, a feminized Wes, that's it exactly. They took that hunk of butch man meat and made it more girly and gentile until it looked like Seven...
Seven was a male version of Wesley.
Seven was a male version of Wesley.
The not annoying, take no names, ass kicking version of Wesley maybe.Seven was a male version of Wesley.
I tend to think of Wes in that annoying S1 way too. To be fair the character improved in the later seasons. But to be honest, I mostly think of Wes as season one TNGs 15 year old kid, so of course Seven is going to seem a touch more hard ass than he was.

Seven.
I can think of two beautifully big reasons.

I was thinking the same thing.![]()
I voted for Seven.
Of all the characters in all of the Trek series Kes is the character I disliked the most (though Keiko was close on her heels). Kes was a sickly sweet, goody-two-shoes who bored me completely. I found her voice irritating. I was overjoyed to see the last of her.
I liked Seven though she was not my favourite character and I think she was overused.
I am not sure why you watch them in the first place if you thought they were so bad. If I began to dislike a show I might given it a season ot two hoping it would improve but not four years.
"Fury' was about the only episode I found Kes anywhere near tolerable in.
