I got it but what is there to say? It's not like there is a Trek comeback to that line.

Some more T'Pol points/opinions:

As far as T'Pol and Seven both being beautiful with great figures: deal with it. Some women are beautiful in that way. I would bet that during VOY's time you could find other beautiful and hot women who had figures like Seven's serving on starships.

Personally I like the trellium. There is not a whole lot one can do with Vulcan characters unless you have outside influences, such as spores in This Side of Paradise. You could have philosophical shows in which the Vulcan struggles with logic but the audience probably wouldn't go for a whole story arc about that. They did touch on some of that with the different interpretations of Surak's teachings.

Why does no one protest Spock's romances that were influenced by spores, time travel?

I like the fallibility of T'Pol who as I said in my original post in this thread I see as a very defective Vulcan, but interesting person.

I liked T'Pol and the Vulcans quite a bit. While many thought the Vulcans were too flawed in Enterprise, I far prefered them so. Having them viewed perfect and better than humans in so many ways (especially in TOS) is a rather dull characterization. Superior aliens really isn't a sin of Trek alone, of course, but a lot of times Vulcans are made out to be super aliens. Enterprise went a long way toward making them far more believable and interesting for me.

Well, trying to make sense of your question, it appears you're asking why she didn't get a new uniform after receiving her Starfleet commission. She was given the rank of "Commander", which I assume was equivalent to the Vulcan rank of "Sub-Commander".

The show was silent however, on the question of why she wasn't given a "new" uniform. It was also silent on the question of why she wasn't given a Starfleet uniform (in case this is what you are attempting to ask about).

BTW, the aforementioned (T'Pol's Starfleet uniform), has been the source of as much debate around these parts as any other single hot button ENT issue.

As for her "tits", I can only say that, it appears she had them prior to joining Starfleet and continued to have them after joining Starfleet.

I just watched those eps but I don't recall her actually being commissioned as a member of Starfleet. Maybe it just went over my head. I figured Archer wants her there in a dangerous situation, Starfleet will let him have what he wants.

Personally, I kinda wished T'Pol had been a sexy Andorian woman in which her sensuality was part of her character (rather than having it out there and being totally oblivious or indifferent to it like Seven of Nine was). We already had two shows with Vulcans as regular cast members, and I would have rather have had an Andorian in ENT.

Otherwise, I think the only problem I had with T'Pol is that I just didn't think she should have been an actual member of the crew, much less the first officer. It has nothing to do with "fanon" or anything like that, but I would have rather liked her as a Vulcan commissioner--a civilian aboard Enterprise who had authority over Archer on missions of a sensitive diplomatic nature...

I liked her, I think Jolene Blalock did a very good job performing a convincing Vulcan dealing with humans. And yes she was very easy on the eyes.

Okay, once again I find myself as the rare defender of ENT. As with much of the characters in ENT, T'Pol's character and Blalock's portrayal evolved with time. The T'Pol we see in S1 is vastly different than the one we see in later seasons. I thought that they gave her interesting conflicts, and her relationships with Archer and Trip really supported all of S3. Clearly, they were affected by the impact Seven had on VOY and capitalized on that, but it is not a reason to write off the character.

I loved T'pol.

Both for her body and her character. I liked the way she changed from season 1 through season 4.


I also liked how the Vulcans changed. That in the first two seasons they were very different, and the season 4 arc showed a major shift in Vulcan history that led to the Vulcans that fans of all Trek recognize in ToS and beyond.

Bounty was so embarassing no wonder Blalock hated it. The turning her into a Drug addict for no good reason Had no justification especially since it was more or less dropped after that episode..

I actually liked that plotline. And they didn't ignore it. It changed her character and that is why she can get away with showing slightly more emotions than Vulcans normally should.



And use a little imagination.. no justification!?!

The Enterprise is on a mission to save the planet Earth, in hostile space, where crew members are dying, and they have little chance to succeed. Think the stress might get to anyone?


Besides, look at the other Vulcans in the expanse. They turned into lunatic zombies. I think a little drug binge in understandable given the circumstances.
