Kirk is blocking anything that might be on the table. also, if you look closely, there's another bed in the background. There's also a scene of Kirk seeming to hide under a bed. Makes sense to me.
Who says the Orion Girl is a Slave Girl? Maybe she freed herself by escaping, or maybe there is a class of women on the Orion homeworld that are free.
We'll see. I'm not saying she definitely isn't an Orion, I'm saying with the lighting in that scene its impossible to tell. Still - Orions aren't memebers of the Federation and a slave girl in Starfleet seems unlikely. And Uhura does seem to share quarters with her and interrupt the two of them. I deduced this using my brain powers to associate separate pieces of information based on what would make an entertaining scene from a screenwriter's point of view.
Assuming its Uhura's quarters.
Could be the academy. Could be a space hotel. Could be the comedy "got the wrong room" scenario. He thinks he's going to bang some orion chick, and he ends up in Uhura's hotel room.
Or something.
Unless there is a sign saying "Uhura's quarters on the Enterprise", it could be anyone's room.
Sex Closet. Uhura's bra scene takes place in the Sex Closet.

Bajorans, Klingons, and Ferengi are not in the Federation yet they all have had cadets represent their worlds at Starfleet. And again, i didn't say she was in Starfleet, just that she might not be a slave. Honestly we don't know enough about the Orions, even after DS9 and ENT to know if there are perhaps women of an aristocratic class, or even wives of the slave traders, or mistresses of gangsters and political leaders all of which could be, if not free, at least not technically slaves. And again, some would surely escape, even before there was space travel for the Orions, surely some managed to run away and hide somewhere else on the planet.

There's not that much shadow cast on the woman, look at her leg seen to the far left of the picture. Kirk's calf is clearly seen and is white and is in practically the same light as the woman's. The woman's leg is clearly a darker shade than Kirk's. Now argument could be made if it is "green" or "black" but it's clearly not "white."
The underwear suggests an Orion.
So i think, clearly, to me it's an iron or at the very least not a white woman.
As for the quarters. They're not Uhura's. Look at the lamp on the nightstand in the "stripping" shot and the picutes and stuff on the desk in the background.
All not there in the sex picture.

Actually, one thing we do know from ENT is this:
The Orion Slave Girls are not, in fact, slaves. They are the masters. They use their pheromones to essentially enslave the males.
So maybe *that* is what an Orion girl is doing on the Enterprise...
