"I just can't believe all the things people say...."I think it is great. The music should be a little weird, since thew film will be a mix of alternate universe, 1985 but with our modern sensibilities. Seeing Manhattan talk was also very exciting. It did feel like the comic come to life.
I wonder if the should add that Prince song "Controversy" to the soundtrack?
Just watched it again, it seemed to improve a bit.
The only thing is Rorschach's OTT gravelly voice, a bit like the one annoying thing in The Dark Knight
All these superheroes sounds like they've just woken up hungover from a night on 20 Marlboro Reds
I thought Rorshach's voice sounded perfect. It's exactly the type of voice I imagined while reading the comic.
Jon's voice I expected to be deeper and more ominous though.
I hope that the action-pause-action style isn't something that's actually in the movie, but only in the trailer. That style is too music video-ish.
Dawn of the Dead was hardly a music video. I expect the Slow-mo will be used mostly to emphasize certain shots that echo panels of the comic. . . as it should be.I hope that the action-pause-action style isn't something that's actually in the movie, but only in the trailer. Everything Zack Snyder has directed has looked like a music video, I expect WATCHMEN will look the same. There will be plenty of slo-mo for all.
