New Watchmen trailer

Man, I hated the music this time. I loved it on the first trailer. This time it made this sound like a made for TV movie or an 80's B movie. Weird choice. Nice to see some new clips, but with this music behind it, it all came across as lame and stupid. Wow.

I agree, wasn't crazy about the music...I think the music in the first half was from Baraka, which was alright...But the second half wasn't so great. I mean, it doesn't matter to me I am seeing this film either way but if I was on the fence...

Yeah the movie itself still looks cool, but the trailer this time wasn't put together well at all.

If the phrase "Watchmen" actually shows up in the film's dialogue, I will vomit. Hard and often. I hope it's what it appears to be and is just poorly pasted into the trailer so as to not confuse uninitiated potential audiences who are wondering "Well, why isn't it called Minutemen?"

The music from 0:27 to 1:20 was by Philip Glass--at least, originally.

It was adapted from the overture to his opera Akhnaten.

The trailer is good, but I can't get over the fact that they refer to the Watchmen as the name of the group twice in the trailer. I hope that's just editing for the uninitiated.

I hope that the action-pause-action style isn't something that's actually in the movie, but only in the trailer. That style is too music video-ish.

A good example of that is the V For Vendetta trailer. In the trailers, the voice of the interrogator for Evey's interrogation is Tim Pigott-Smith, the actor that portrayed Creedy. In the film itself, though, the voice is different. It doesn't sound like Hugo Weaving to me, but it should be.

Well I'm looking forward to it. Looks great to me.

But I also think it may be like the V For Vendetta movie, in that you'll either love it or hate it, and those who aren't familiar with the original may find it a bit silly

It looks good but there's a slight level of 'corniness' in this trailer that wasnt there before.

I hate it. There was something very elegant about the 1st teaser trailer. I mean, it got me so interested in an 11 year old Smashing Pumpkins song that I actually went out to a few different stores before I found one with a copy of the Batman & Robin soundtrack.

This new one has crappy music, crappy line readings, and the more I look at it, the more I think these costumes just may not play seriously in live action.

Great trailer, music and all. I wish I didn't have to wait so long to see this film.

I loved the music! It was Muse! How can you not like Muse?

Anyway, loved the trailer. It was literally like seeing the graphic novel come to life. Quite amazing. With every passing day, I'm looking forward more and more to this movie.

I think it is great. The music should be a little weird, since thew film will be a mix of alternate universe, 1985 but with our modern sensibilities. Seeing Manhattan talk was also very exciting. It did feel like the comic come to life.
I wonder if the should add that Prince song "Controversy" to the soundtrack?
