How did you decide on your avatar names...

2 of 10

Captain
Captain
As you can tell, my log in name in 2 of 10, I decided on this name from an episode of Voyager "Omega Directive" when Seven demotes Harry Kim from 6 of 10 to 2 of 10. That scene totally worked for me, so I decided to take Harry's demotion new designation...

What about your log on/ Avatar log in??

The initials of my first and second name. I do the same for day to day life with people who I only have a short interaction with as my first name tends to be a little difficult for the average person to pronounce.:wtf:

Well this what I used when I was on Section 31's BBS (which is no longer up, atleast from what I can see). For some reason I thinking the R in toys R us, and used it as Dave R treker.

Re: How did you decide on your avatar names ...

NCC-1701 is the registry of my favorite imaginary spaceship. Well, who would have thunk, eh? :shifty: There's nothing more to it. I just love the original Enterprise and (as weird as it may sound) think there's a certain typographic aesthetic to NCC-1701. I couldn't believe that it wasn't taken when I requested a name change from T'Bonz some months ago. Originally I registered under the screen name Belar. 100 quatloos for the uber-geek who can figure out where this name is from (without using Memory Alpha etc.) ...

Mine has no ST connotation, of course. I'm actually not a big fan of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, but I liked how alliterative it was. Also, red is my favorite color. I also thought it would be fun to have such a goofy screen name! My current avatar is ST related. It's Ruk, everyone's favorite hulking android from What Are Little Girls Made Of? -- RR

Sector 7 was a mistake, to be honest.:alienblush: I wanted Section 31 but it was taken. So, being caught off guard, I hastily made this one up. I thought of Vulcan's Federation Sector as number 7 (oops, wrong again).:vulcan: As a former Navy SEAL, Section 31 appealed to me.

I was reading "Uhura's Song," one of my favorite Trek novels, at the time I registered here. My original name was JinxtoEeiauo, named for a felinoid character in the novel who is befriended by Uhura. The "to Eeiauo" is a naming convention for the species.

When we were given an opportunity to modify our names, I changed it to JiNX-01 to reflect my fondness for the novel and my love of Enterprise.

And right now, I'm Jinxed13 for Halloween.

Mine was just a random, on the spot choice. The first part comes from me being nuts over Trek when I was younger and the second part is my birth year.

My username is comics releated.

Also it goes well with a hot babe avatar whenever I want to put one up.

Worked for Paramount for many years, and liked the history of the stars around the mountain. One star for each of the Famous Players in the original Paramount galaxy.

It's the shortened version of "Mark the trekkerguy" the first screenname I made for online use when I got into forums more seriously and joined myspace. I wanted something that represented me and what I enjoy. I am a trekker, a guy, and my name is Mark.

"trekkerguy" was what most ended up calling me so it stuck and Mtt is no longer used. I use this same name everywhere online and on XBL.

Do a search for it ;)

Btw: Shintaek, we'll get em next year.

After activating Caps Lock, I mashed the keyboard with a fist.

We're still investigating how the "H" escaped inclusion.
