Only time it EVER happened to me was in college, coming back from cheer camp (a 24-hour drive) - got back at 6PM and my friend wanted me to go see the movie Air America.... I'd been up for 36 hours straight, after a week of tossing women in the air, and the movie did not hold my attention enough even with the big soda/popcorn to overcome that.
Usually, if I feel tired, it's at a "youth comedy" or an Adam Sandler production.

I dozed off during THE DARK KNIGHT. It was a midnight IMAX show, after a long day at Comic-Con in San Diego. I was just tired.
I have never fallen asleep at the theater, I have been sooooo incredibly bored... but never fallen asleep
My mom... well, she loves all types of movies, but she can't stay awake for any of them! Even the loudest of the loud THX or whatver they have... she still falls asleep. Very funny actually

Apparently I fell asleep at the theater back when I was 7, during a showing of Benji the Hunted. I made my dad take me to go see it, and then slept through at least half of it. Meanwhile, he (very much against his expectations) really enjoyed it.
That's the only time I've ever fallen asleep at a movie theater. Later, in college, I became pretty infamous for falling asleep during the evening screenings in the film classes I took.

I wish I could have fallen asleep during that one. That movie was an epic level of bad.
I've never actually fallen asleep during a movie in the theater but when I went to see The illusionist my brain kept zoning in and out and to this day I have no idea what was going on in the movie!
I rarely fall asleep at movies, but there are two occasions that I can recall. The first was Nemisis. Oh my lord, what a boring film. I fell asleep near the middle and woke up about a minute before it ended. The second was Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest. I never meant to fall asleep, but I had had a busy day and went to a late showing and I just couldn't stay awake.
I just fell asleep last weekend watching 10,000BC at home. At the cinema, the last time I fell asleep was during Die Another Day. I fell asleep after the car chase on ice and woke up after the final battle scene. Later on, when the movie was on TV, I tried to watch it at home and fell asleep again. To this day I have not seen the end to that movie.

(No, I have no plans on ever watching this film again.)

Fallen asleep twice at the movies.
First time was 1997, Empire Strikes Back. I pulled just about an all nighter and then went to like a 10 am session. I nodded off while Yoda was going on about the Force, he has a nice soothing voice.
The next time was 2003?, when The Two Towers came out. I went to see it a second time since it was for free and it was like 1,000,000 degrees outside. Found the first viewing to be less then stellar so I didn't even bother to attempt to keep awake.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer Stone ---I didn't completely fall asleep, but the film was so tedious and painful, I wished I could have.
There were any number of ripoffs in that film, but since I haven't seen it in a while and blocked it out of my mind, the biggest one I remember is the scene in which all of the kids are playing some stupid game on broomsticks. The way the scene was filmed and even the whooshing sound effects instantly struck me as a crappy copy of the podracing scenes in Star Wars.
Apparently I'm in the minority on this one, however, as fifty more of these films have been released subsequently. Harry Potter Picks His Nose, Harry Potter and the Funny New Patches of Hair, Harry Potter Learns what his Magic Wand is For, and Harry Potter Makes More Money than Disney are just a few . . .

Rifftrax makes this movie much more watchable.
