What would you like to see in the finale episode of Season 5?

So...just re-use the final shot from SNW S3 <--- When they thought after the Strike, they wouldn't get a S4.
Just to add my 2 cents to an older discussion in this thread ...
I think perhaps some folks have forgotten that right out of the gate, Dr. Elizabeth Dehner was the Enterprise psychiatrist in WNMHGB.
So that wasn't really something new on TNG with Troi, it just wasn't referred to after the fact in TOS.

The Talosians were a horny bunch. Mini skirt outfits. Kirk always loosing his shirt and many sexual encounters with various ladies.
Only reason they did this ending was there was a 2 part episode [ it was hardly a motion picture ] coming out a couple of months later
Thinking it over, do something along the lines of DC Annual #2 (first run).
End of the five year mission and back to Talos IV where the Klingons have invaded and learned the Talosian powers.

Naw. The Talosians would have been able to fool them away, long before they entered the Talos system.
This being Strange New Worlds, we need to homage something.
Pretending I'm in the writers room, I come up with the following:
1. The crew sit around playing poker as the camera pans around them rapidly, and they all say how much they love each other because they're family.
2. We end with Pike on his knees in front of the Talosians. ""My God. I'm back. I'm still in the Cage. All the time… you finally, really did it. YOU MANIACS! YOU MADE IT UP! DAMN YOU! GOD DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL" - Cue up the sad TOS music as the Enterprise drifts away and we realise that Canon has not been violated after all. Legions of Trekkies rejoice.
3. The crew find they are all Lego figures after Trelane transforms them. The series ends with the Lego ship being put up on a shelf. The main crew are all fixed to a board in Trelane's bedroom. Forced to spend all eternity as an ornament to a God. Lego actually make a set based on the episode, but no one buys it.
4. A whizz bang finale with loads of explosions as the crew fight the Gorn. Ships ram into each other and there's tears, pathos and drama. Nothing makes sense, but who cares. Maybe some space tentacles are involved and a gazillion identical Enterprises fight floating space flowers.

At some point in the last season M'Benga leaves and the drunk doctor whose name I can't recall takes over. McCoy maybe shows up for the last episode after a whole bunch of crew are injured and the ship is brought back to spacedock.
There's an episode to explain La'an transferring to the division that investigates the spooky stuff. Maybe Pelia goes with her, (because she's bored.)
I'd like to see a few of the characters from the first few TOS episodes come on board. Maybe Gary Mitchell & Sulu as pilots and Ortegas is tasked with their final training, and just show Darnell in security.
Last few episodes lead up to some kind of confrontation where the current Enterprise saves the day but it is damage beyond repair so it has to be rebuilt but Starfleet decides on a slightly smaller ship for reasons (because Pike's quarters are huge compared to Kirk's...) but because of whatever heroics he did, Pike is promoted to Fleet Captain and Una is promoted to Captain and given her own ship, and she intends on taking Ortegas with her. So the last episode is Pike showing Kirk & Spock the new Enterprise while it is in space doc, giving Kirk the news of his promotion, so the last shot is of Kirk & Spock, looking at the ship, a besmitten smile on Kirk's face, and Spock looking stoic.

I’m sure it’s been said before but I’d love it if they ripped off Babylon 5s finale and made it all about Pike interacting with all his old friends one last time before he starts the mission that he knows will be his last.
I think it would be really interesting if they showed post “The menagerie” Pike. Maybe him talking with Vina about whether it was all worth it

Oh, I imagine everyone who wanted it would buy it. They would probably sellout in ten minutes.
Gotta say, if they wanted to go the funny route, this would be an immortal choiceRiker: "Computer, end program."
Now I want Riker to enter the Holodeck and say "Computer, Riker TOS-1. Begin program. And he steps on to the OS bridge.
Or go crazy, make it look like it was made in the 50s.
If they made the finale in the 60s sets, uniforms, music, effects, etc. that would be cool. Although definitely a gimmick.
Have you ever seen those MeTv ads where they show Captain Kirk and Spock meeting Andy Griffith? We need that for real in the finale.
They never should have allowed that biomedical firm to open a lab in Mayberry. Yeah. yeah. "jobs."
